Summary
Escape to Everdene Sands, where the sun is shining - but is the tide about to turn?
Robyn and Jake are planning their dream wedding at the family beach hut in Devon. A picnic by the turquoise waves, endless sparkling rosé and dancing barefoot on the golden sand...
But Robyn is more unsettled than excited. She can't stop thinking about the box she was given on her eighteenth birthday, and the secrets it contains. Will opening it reveal the truth about her history - and break the hearts of the people she loves most?
As the big day arrives, can everyone let go of the past and step into a bright new future?

Never a disappointment
Wonderful book full of sunshine and interesting characters. Veronica Henry books give you a warm and comforting hug and leave you feeling happy and content. I always enjoy her books and this one is no exception. Great story and characters to engage with. I am always sorry to finish them. Very touching story at its heart. Thank you Veronica. You have a rare gift. Narrator excellent too.

Delightful easy listen
What a pleasurable story to listen to on a chilly Winter night. Beautifully read by Julia Franklin. She made the book come to life. It is not a normal mushy love story, it is full of reality and difficulties, but of course , it has a wonderfully happy ending, leaving me wanting more, always a good sign.

Nice tho a little twee
The story is nice with a poignant underlying theme that brought a tear or two.. but I did roll my eyes a little all the way through at all the oh so wonderful people and the cliché expressions. Talented narrator who obviously knew the book well.. Tho a little over earnest at times.

Another excellent beach hut book
I just love the series, the stories, the characters everything and so well read by the narrator. I hope there will be more in this series.

I cannot listen to this narration!
I've started this book but just couldn't listen to the narration any longer. it's very clipped and fast. worst I think I've heard. So I can't rate the book as I couldn't listen to it.

A great uplifting story. Easy listening and great characters. Perfect for a dreary dark winters evening hearing of a summer wedding on the beach !

Awful narration
Love Veronica Henry generally but I have to say this is my least favourite book of hers, I really didn't care about these characters and I'm not sure Veronica does either! Also I couldn't deal with the narrator's pseudo low voice for the male characters. It was awful and completely put me off. Read it on my Kindle instead.

Amazed it has such positive reviews
Terrible story. Really badly written and narration not much better. What rubbish is printed and sold. A child could have written this tripe

get your tissues ready
What a brilliant read/listen. I'm writing this with happy tears streaming down. very emotional and real. I sooooo want to meet Gwen. lovely lovely book. quite an emotional roller coaster as the story weaves between the present and the past, very well written. The scene setting is well done and I often listened at night with my eyes closed and could have been a fly on the wall. Definitely recommend.

Tear jerker
A lovely story. Prepare yourself with a box of tissues. I wish I owned a beach hut.
