About this listen

Isabelle

Jericho St. James hates my family.

Powerful, wealthy beyond belief, he's the most dangerous man I know.

And I belong to him.

He’s taken me from my home.

He'll make me his wife.

And he’s made it very clear I’ll be sleeping in his bed.

But my beast has a secret.

His one weakness. One that makes hating him impossible.

He has a daughter.

And he’ll do anything to keep her safe.

Jericho

The Bishops stole what money cannot replace.

A life for a life. Now I’ll take one of theirs.

Isabelle is my pawn.

I will make her my wife.

I will bed her.

She will be mine in every way.

And once I take what I need from her, I will erase the Bishop family as if they never existed at all.

OMG OMG I loved this book. I did not want to read it as it's a duet and the second book is not on here but heck I am so glad I did but now I'm dying for the next installment 😪😥.

This is a must-read/listen
This book does have some dark elements, not for the fainthearted. It
Natasha writes with passion and depth. Isabelle is kind and sweet, she wouldn’t hurt a fly. Jericho is broken, he’s in pain and he’s on a path to destruction. This book ends on a cliffhanger, I’m desperate to see what happens next. Book two hasn’t been released on audible yet, I may have to read it on kindle because I have no idea how long it will take for book two to be released.
I recommend this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Devil’s Pawn is the first part of a duet.
Audiobook read.

Jericho St James can only think of revenge. It’s the hate running through his veins. He has it out for the Bishop family. Isabella is the pawn he takes in his play for the king. His hate for the Bishops clouds his judgement of morals. He can’t see the good and kindness in Isabelle. As he finds out more about the death of his wife and the man responsible he realises Isabelle is caught up in more than just the Bishop name.

I really enjoy this. It is a duet so the story isn’t over yet and I look forward to more.

The story was good but I really didn't like Jericho. I was a bit disappointed with him because I didn't expect him to be such a monster, because he was one of the characters in Stolen, Dante's Vow in another series by Natasha Knight which I listened to before this series and he wasn't such a monster, infact he was nicer than all the other heros of the other 6 stories by Natasha Knight that I listened to, and thought they were all really brilliant. But in Jericho's/ this story he is awful, he is a real monster till the very end of this book, but of course his story continues with the next book. I hope he gets better in the next book because at the moment I can't stand his guts. He ruined the story, usually the bad guys are monsters like him not the heros. Yes the heros in the other books by Natasha Knight were dark but not as dark as Jericho, he's awful.
As for the narrators Stephanie Kay is very good but I didn't like Trevor Murphy he made Jericho sound like an even bigger monster and his voice for the female characters was awful especially for Angelique Jericho's 5yo kid, she sounded like a man.
I don't see the point of having a Male and a female narrator if they don't read the dialogue according to the gender. I would rather have had just Stephanie Kay reading this story.

story was good
