A beautiful fairy tale
I listened to Yours, Forever After, and then the sequel to the Enchanted Folklore series. You could read this book as a standalone, but you'll enjoy it more if you know the previous volume.
This time around, the focus is on Evander and Marcos. Marcos is a guardian who secretly pines for Evander. He is a very loyal and honest man who does not shy away from rejection. However, Evander doesn't really seem to need Marcos. I knew Evander from the previous volume when he still went by the name Evrard. Despite his somewhat snooty manner, there was something about him as Evrard that somehow intrigued me. And if you look behind his walls, you understand the prickly Evander much better and hope for a happy ending.
But my heart in this story definitely belongs to Marcos, who constantly supports Evander and who you just have to love.
The history of the Guardians was interesting and fascinating, as well as the lore was a pleasure to read. I liked the worldbuilding a lot. The pacing was appropriate, but at times it was a bit slow. Overall, an entertaining read.
Brennan Rossi delivered another great performance. I liked his pleasant voice and the way he spoke the different characters differently. I found it easy to tell them apart.

Enchanting
Betrayal, magic, hidden identities, and pining - the second book in the Enchanted Folklore duet has it all. Yours, Everlasting can be read as a standalone or before the first book, but I suggest reading the duet in order to get the most out of the series.
Evander has gone by many names and had many identities - from scholar to unicorn king, Evander has been everyone but himself for centuries. But the time has finally come for Evander to face his past, his enemies, and himself. I really enjoyed the self-discovery and growth Evander goes through and the way he and Marcos fell in love on their journey. There was humor, sass, action, and of course, love. This was a fun book that I enjoyed.
The audiobook was narrated by Brennan Rossi who does a nice job, especially with Marcos deep voice. I was impressed with how consistent he kept all the voices and it made it easy to follow along with the story. The audiobook production was well done.

A captivating adventure and swoony fantasy romance
I don't read many fantasy books, but this one was seriously amazing. I felt completely transported into Marcos and Evander's world, fascinated by the little bits of lore I learned along the way, and fully captivated by their quest and budding romance. Technically you could read this book as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading this series in order because it provides helpful context to the relationships between characters and overall plotline.
Evander (or should I say, Evrard) was such a mysterious, infuriating character in the first book, but this story completely changed my opinion of him. I mean I thought all I had to worry about were two princes running a kingdom, but suddenly Evander's a Guardian, and actually there are 13 of them, all immortal and with different amazing powers, and within the first couple of paragraphs this story took off in a totally different direction. There's nothing that excites me more than letting an author lead me along on an adventure, and Beth Bolden wrote one of the most compelling, intriguing, interesting quests I've read in a long time. Evander was much more than the annoying, know-it-all companion I expected him to be, and I was thrilled to discover just how much was hiding behind his Rhys-shaped disguise.
As if that were't enough, Marcos was an unexpected GEM who added a whole new level of swoon to this story. I can't even describe how delighted I was when I realized this book was a dual-narrative, just because I wanted to get inside his head. Those of you who adore Beth's emotional, slow-burn romances are in for a real treat with Marcos and Evander because holy cow did they give me the FEELS all story long. I had zero clue what to expect in a love interest for Evander, but Marcos just seemed to fit with him naturally. They both had a fierce sense of loyalty, strong calling to do what was right, and complemented each other nicely as companions. I was convinced they were soulmates before they even kissed for the first time, and while I'm a total romantic at heart, I usually require a bit more persuasion than that.
I could go into detail about the exciting reveals (because there were many), surprise character introductions (one that stood out from the rest), steamy moments (few, but well worth the wait), and heart-pounding climax (a high-stakes mix of strategy and adrenaline-induced action), but instead of spoiling all the surprises, I'll just say that I thought the storytelling and romance were *amazing* and you should definitely give this one a listen. Brennan Rossi brought these characters to life in such a believable way, and I can already tell this is one of those audios I'm going to come back to often.
**I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

Awesome Audio/Story!
Excellent conclusion to a fantastical everlasting love story! Beautiful world-building, magic, good/evil, romance, EPIC storytelling from both author and narrator! The second book was even better than the first, and I'm looking forward to more from narrator and author both!

Enchanting!
I loved Evrard's smug and snarky ways and I loved that he got his own story!!
there is so much more to Evander and I was totally enchanted by his story.
Ms Bolden has created a magical world of danger, deceit and captivating characters. The writing is witty and fast paced with chemistry and danger. Brennan's narration brings these characters to life and elevates this magical story to new levels. I'm so intrigued by all the other guardians and I think this world and these characters will stick with me for a while!!
A highly recommended listen!!

Fun enemies to lovers fantasy
Loved this. It had the same fun vibe as the first story with a great sense of adventure, banishment, gods, belief, and some real hero shenanigans.
I adored Marcos from the very start and watching Evander learn to trust and finally love him was an absolute joy to watch.
I have read book 1 but I do think this could be treated as a stand-alone book without feeling too lost.

lifetimes Have Passed.
MM, Fairytale, Enchanted Folklore, Action, Adventure, Romance. Not a stand-alone listen due to backstory continuing on from book one, the MC's (immortals and Shapeshifters) are different in this story although they and many of the other characters were heavily featured in the previous book. A great listen with twists and turns and a fast paced plot which ends with a HEA. A brilliant conclusion to the story.

Great story and performance
I loved Marcos and Evander and this story of the two immortals facing both an evil that can destroy humanity and the feelings they have for each other. Neither the battle nor their relationship is easy, but the ending was worth it and the story and performance by Brennan Rossi carried me along on their adventures so completely I had to remember to stop and actually do some work occasionally.
