Summary
If your superpower meant you could turn into a kitsune, a powerful fox spirit, you wouldn’t fear for the life of your mate, right?
Sebastian survived an entire year on the run from the supernatural. Then he met Liam, his fated mate and alpha werewolf, and thought maybe he’d found a home. Until the fae come calling. They want control of Seb’s power, even if that means eliminating Liam to get it.
When a trick leaves Seb in trouble with the werewolves, the military, and the fae, he fears his only option is to run. Except Seb is done running. He will stop at nothing to keep Liam by his side, even if it means letting his beast loose on them all.

Amazing Sequel... But Need More!!
I hope this isn’t the end as we still haven’t seen what has happened to Nick and the Volkov.
The ending suggests that there is more to this story, so I do hope there are going to be an audiobook or two more to tie everything up!
Well written, lots of feels and real rollercoaster ride, but at the same time, giving more of a glimpse into Sebastian’s life and heritage as well as Liam’s life before and after being turned into a werewolf.
Excellently narrated again 😊
Here’s to hearing more from the Kitsune Chronicles 👏😁
Definitely worth 5🌟’s

Painful Listen
I only used 1 of my credits as I didn't mind the 1st book. BUT. This author must not be good at proofing thier storyline. The story is disconjointed. I hate the self depreciating talk. It gets super old. I want to be on the MC's side but too much self hate makes it more frustrating. The dialog sucks too. You really need to do your research on government processes and a better editor if you continue to write.
Don't waste your money on this...

And the questions continue...
The continued story of Sebastian and Liam was jammed packed with information that worked to provide insight as well as confuse the reader to irritation. The story continued to grow and shed light on the dynamic of this world that these two live in. As with the first book, I enjoyed the story it's just at times, there was a ton of information provided that was a bit of a challenge to figure out how it all worked together and though it eventually came together, it was at times a challenge. I enjoyed the story for the most part but again, some unanswered questions that did not seem to be asked nor of any import to the presented universe. So, if that last sentence did not make a lick of sense, you'll understand how I'm feeling.

so close to something great..
An amazing story idea, but there is far too much co-dependency, prolonging character development.

Lack of luster
I loved the first book but this book is horrible the story doesn’t make sense it’s drawn out and my god can the main character be less annoying! They way his written is annoying insipid and always horny! Like dude come on. Very other thing is how much of a horn dog he is I’m like ok cool what else! Very disappointed.. won’t recommend to buy!

Repetitive with lots of angst
I should have checked to see if this was New Adult fiction. Sebastian is filled with self-loathing and indecision. He keeps putting himself in difficult situations and his repetitive internal dialogue gets old. Tyler Kent did an excellent job with the narration.

Good not great
A good enough story with a fine enough performance. Tyler Kent is often very wooden in his performance. the voice he uses for the MC is good, but the one he uses for the mate character is stiff and unmoving. As for the prose, it's fine...far better than the first book. It's a good mystery and a fine enough world but it's bogged down by so many tropes that aren't quite as well thought through. It's not soapy enough to be a soap opera and it's not dark enough to be dark fantasy. It is an amalgam of both and not always in the best ways. The insta-love and obsession by the MC comes off as borderline toxic though that may be my own inability to grasp the "fated mates" trope. There are so many great moments in this, and again the author does a fantastic third Act, but brought down by the obsessive compulsion to be with the mate. In real life the behavior would be codependent and borderline stalker behavior. It's not healthy and certainly doesn't sound healthy based on the voice used by yhe actor.
It is not a bad book. In fact it is leagues better than the first. The problem it's romance is cookie cutter, bland, and without real depth.
