Summary

A USA Today best seller!

A sizzling, stand-alone, feel-good winter romance from Tessa Bailey, New York Times best-selling author of It Happened One Summer.

Two weeks before Christmas and all through Manhattan, shop windows are decorated in red and green satin. I'm standing alone in front of the famous Vivant department store, when a charming man named Aiden asks my opinion of the décor.

It's a tragedy in tinsel, I say, unable to lie. He asks for a better idea with a twinkle in his eye. Did I know he owned the place? No. He put me on the spot. Now I'm working for that man, trying to ignore that he's hot. But as a down on her luck girl with a difficult past, I know an opportunity when I see one—and I have to make it last.

I'll put my heart and soul into dressing his holiday windows. I'll work without stopping. And when we lose the battle with temptation, I'll try and remember I'm just window shopping.

I will have to buy the book

Tessa Bailey and holiday romance?? Yes, please. These narrators had me returning the book before the end of the second chapter! The male narrator’s accent is horrible. He sounds so much better when voicing other characters. The female has. Canadian accent but trying to hide it? Or is the other way around? In any case I am actually enjoying the plot so far, but there’s no way I could get through seven hours of that male narrator.

my favorite Tessa Bailey book

Well earned HEA for the Grumpy Heroine and Sunshine Hero. Ted Lasso-esque and I was THERE for it!

not my thing

I feel like the story was ok but the male narrator sounds like he is doing an impression of Lindsay Graham. maybe that's a real accent but I just couldn't get into it

Who were these people?

The woman is from Connecticut but the narrator has a Canadian accent? The guy is from LI but grew up in Tennessee..has a southern accent..kind of. Goth girl and howdy doody…and a lot of talk about his bubble but—and it isn’t just muscle—it’s fat. But the rest of him is all muscly?
It was just hard to get over narrators accents and the unlikely connection.

A feel-good Christmas time romance!

A feel-good Christmas time romance between a reformed bad girl and an honest-to-goodness sweet southern gentlemen (right in the middle of New York).

The reverse grumpy/sunshine trope made it different not only from the other holiday books I’ve read so far, but romance novels I have read to date in general!

No. Just no.

Literally one of the dumbest books ever. Do not waste your time. I mean I can’t get over how dumb it is! Basically, Howdy Doody meets goth-felon girl. The connection makes no sense and the intimate scenes are just stupid!! He gets off thinking about China patterns? Whaaa? The accents are terrible and all around just baaaaaad.

Rom-com with a dash of spice

The book was an easy listen and was a great fit for the holiday season. For a rom-com, I was surprised with the heroine's past and it contradicted the male lead's bow-tied, straight-laced persona. But it works and you believe in the sparks the two characters have. Recommended for those who want to listen to a holiday rom-com with a bit of spice.

Excellent Christmas story - great steamy read!

Very cute, feel-good Christmas romcom, with a ton of steam! I don’t know why I didn’t expect this one to be as steamy as it was, being Tessa Bailey, but it still shocked me… maybe because it was a Christmas story. Guess I should know, if it’s her book, it’s going to be hot, no matter what!

I loved these characters and the storyline, the redemption story, the geeky guy winning the girl’s love, and overcoming so much. Great one! Great narrators also.

A cute and hot Christmas story

I really enjoyed this book. The narrators were perfect. If you like short and hot Christmas stories with second chances then you will enjoy this one.
