Essential feminist listening!
Wow! This book is phenomenal and essential listening for anyone interested in international folklore. Brilliantly performed by the author, Kate Hodges, this book will leave you feeling empowered, invigorated and thirsty for more stories about badass women.

Highly enjoyable skip through warriors, witches, women and goddesses of many cultures. Really interesting and gave me plenty of names to look into further.

Great book not quite right for audiobook
I really enjoyed this book and it made me want to buy the book - would make a great coffee table book. However although brilliantly read it doesn’t quite work as an audiobook as just comes across as reading a list.

Lovely snappy and feminist
This a lovely anthology of mythological women, with a modern feminist slant. It doesn't go too in depth, but is great as an introduction or brief overview. I liked the inclusion of a wide variety of cultures. The pronunciation could very occasionally be a little wonky but otherwise narrated fine.
