Average at best
Not very interesting. Mr Ferris portraited as good guy and there seems to be no structure to this book. Random stories from random times left and right and as a bonus you get promo for other stuff the author has produced. You will not miss much if you skip this one.

awful book....not worth the reading
It's all he said ....rumours??? The part about Twechar is absolute bull.....first Twechar is a village, and none of the shopkeepers were horrible to their customers....the village was full of big burly miners ,and the village sticks together ...and would have ran him out !!!
This is full of inaccuracies.....fairytales....all myths of ferris' making !!!!!

Instant recall!
I first read this book to my wee brother. Whilst he was in hospital. He loved it! I loved it. He was a game wee man himself. Sadly since then. He has passed . I bought the audiobook and it took me right back to those nights reading to my brother. . Until he eventually fell asleep. The audio did not disappoint.! Love the narrators voice . The stories in it obviously don’t change but still had me gripped. Laughing out loud and sometimes a wee tear. Love the honesty of the books. Miss the auld school morals. Fantastic mr F
