Summary
Jo Burke hasn’t had it easy in life and that includes her history with men. She’s resigned herself to the fact that she really knows how to choose ’em. Not. So when Tate McBride comes around, she doesn’t trust her instincts for a minute because those same instincts have proven faulty time and again. He can’t be nearly as great a guy as he appears to be on the surface.
Tate McBride enjoys being around the feisty redheaded but can’t quite get her to trust him. He’s not worried, though, because one way or another he’s going to win her over. When Jo’s life is in danger, Tate comes face to face with the possibility of losing the woman he loves. He’s not about to let that happen.

Captivating
As the saying goes!
When in doubt, check it out
Jo had the opportunity at the church to find out the truth about David and she didn't take it.
Jo thought she was over thinking her doubt because she has lost faith in men.
She didn't trust David✔️ He is the worst of the worst, a predator.
She trusted Tate ✔️
Tate was exactly the right man for her so her instinct was right on the money.
I am really enjoying this series.

brilliant
love the voice of David Quimby.
We have emotions and great plot. And what a plot.
Jo and Tate are perfect for each, both have a past. Jo picking the wrong, men and had a Tate an ex girlfriend.
A Ex you just don't need .
Oh Jo's sister, Charlie's boyfriend David... well let's say he needs a good, sharp shock.
Just brilliant

Another fabulous story!
I find this series of books to be fascinating! This story is extremely well written and narrated. This author has a unique way of drawing you into the story making you believe you are invested with the characters. I definitely recommend and love her books!!
The narrator (David Quimby) does an amazing job with the characters and voices and emotions! He makes it easy to distinguish between the characters. I love LOVE listening to him narrate.

Great story!
The story was great! I love cowboy romance books and was itching to read one when this fell into my lap. It was just what I needed! This romance was unlike many others that I have read and was very refreshing.
The narration was interesting... The narrator was good but I feel he was not the right fit for this type of book. I would have preferred a narrator with a more sensual voice.

Exciting!
This one has something for everyone. Every emotion in the book! David did a fantastic job narrating it and bringing out all of the emotions.
Jo and Tate were meant for each other, but his old girlfriend keep showing up. Jo’s sister Charley got herself mixed up with an older man that just wanted her money. You need to find out what a strong cowboy can do. He might even tie you down!

Tying You Down
I am going to sound like a broken record when it comes to the narration for this series. But he just sounds too old for these characters.
I really enjoyed this story. Jo and Tate do not have it easy their love story has some big road blocks they have to over come. But they work through it like champs. I sure didn’t see where the story was heading.
I feel for Charlie, I hope she get a HEA because she deserves it. She is a little naive but that is normal with her age. I think I forget these characters are only in their 20 to early 30’s with the sound of the narrator.

Jo and Tate - 2nd chances
I am a big fan of Mr. Quimby's voice, he can change it to fit the characters and their emotions masterfully.
I enjoyed this new instalment in the series, and had fun tagging along Joe and Tate as they get their second chance at love and eventually HEA. Joe's protectiveness and the quick thinking of Tate save her sister, Charlie, quite suspenseful. I really got to dislike Tate's old girlfriend who kept popping up and causing drama. Looking forward to the next book.
I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and this review is voluntary.

Let this great audio tie you up
This is book 4 to the series. I have heard book 3 and this was just as great. David again did a great narrator voice. He had a smooth voice and was clear
Hero is Tate. Heroine is Jo .
Tate is on a lunch date with Jo. Tate had feelings for Jo when they were younger but before they can grow Jo’s mother sent her away for school. They haven’t seen each other for 15 yrs
When they are sitting down at a restaurant who shows up and ruins the mood ? Tate’s ex girlfriend . She just sits down and monopolize Tate’s time. Jo just gets up and leave. This with Tate’s ex happens again . Jo is always left out. Tate’s ex wants him back.
Meanwhile Jo’s sister is dating a shady character.
Accidents start to happen to Jo. Nothing is taken seriously at the time but they keep on happening and Tate is worried
Grab it and see is it Tate’s ex who wants Jo out of the picture for good or is the shady character that is dating Jo’s sister

When two childhood friends become more...
Jo and Tate were childhood friends, until her dad died and her step-mother sent her away. Now many years later, Jo has returned, purchased a bar and is doing her best to counsel her much younger 1/2 sister in relationships. Tate is glad that Jo is back and wants to be more than friends, but will he be able to convince Jo? Meanwhile a con man is making moves on Jo's sister, and she no longer wants Jo's guidance. When several attempts have been made on Jo's life, will Tate be able to protect Jo, and find out who's behind it all? This was a well written book with just enough suspense that kept you on the edge of your seat...or white knuckling your steering wheel! Thankfully, the bad guys are caught and we have a great HEA. Great narration as well. Look forward to catching up on the rest of this series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Great read!
This is the first Cheyenne McCray book for me and I can’t recommend it enough.
Tate and Jo are perfectly flawed and relatable. Their chemistry is off the charts.
Jo is very independent and strong willed. Tate is the smokin’ hot cowboy that dreams are made of.
I can’t wait to get the other audio books in the series.
David Quimby brought such life to the story, representing both female and male parts equally well. I love to find new narrators just about as much as new authors.

Love this series!
Get ready to listen to a story with a little of everything! Tate has loved Jo since they were kids. Now grown, and both back home in Prescott, he finds his chance to finally make her his! This story has a little slow burn, Jo and Tate are getting to know each other again. Jo's younger sister, Charley, gets herself mixed up with an older man, David much to Jo's disdain. There is a lot going on, Jo dealing with her battle of anorexia, Tate is having trouble on his ranch and Charley is blinded by love. As Tate and Jo get closer, accidents begin to happen to Jo...and when her life is at risk, Tate will do anything he can to find out who is doing this and keep her safe. McCray weaves a story of lust, love, greed and deception. All the twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat and this cowboy will find his way into your heart. With some cameos from the previous installments, you will feel right at home as you listen.
David Quimby is this series for me, he brings to life the McBride men, each with their own personality. I love his easy pace and warm voice and always enjoy his narrations.

I truest enjoyed every minute of this listen!!!
I love country love stories! This one was no disappointment. It was a touching and sweet, yet intriguing story that kept me wondering nearly to the end! hi and Tate’s connection was one everyone should have in their lives. I can’t wait to listen to more from Cheyenne McCray! And the Narrator David Quimby did a great job with all of the characters and their accents!

Who can resist a hot Cowboy?
This is the first book I have listen to in this series so I was a little bit lost in the beginning. But after the story really got going I thoroughly enjoyed Jo and Tate's story. This narrator was also a first for me and I thought did a fabulous job . Joe isn't sure if she can trust herself in her Judgment of men. A lot of women have been there we've had that experiences and we're just not sure that we're the best judge of character or we don't exactly see ourselves how everyone else sees us. Luckily Jo had Tate who seems to have just been waiting until she was ready to come in and have her fall in love with him. Of course nothing goes smoothly there's the old girlfriend who keeps popping up and a bit of drama and her little sisters love life then that seem to be putting Jo's life in danger. It's up to Tate to help keep her safe and figure out what's going on. I really enjoyed this one and I think I will have to go back and get the rest of the series! Definitely makes me want to go visit this little corner Arizona.
