Summary

He swore he’d never date another artist, but what about the one who got away?

Alpha Luke Carter is a successful lawyer, but after his last serious boyfriend left him on their anniversary, he’s turned into a workaholic.

Omega Jay Collins is a struggling artist. Barely making ends meet, he’s recently become homeless… just as he lands the gallery show of a lifetime.

When they run into each other at an art show, sparks fly. Luke knows better, but he just can’t stop thinking about getting the sexy omega back into his bed. A night of celebratory passion leads to unexpected consequences....

In this 77,000-word omegaverse/gay paranormal romance, two men get their second chance at love and learn the value of family. Deeply descriptive and sexual scenes make this non-shifter alpha/omega male pregnancy romance suitable for adults only.

Narrator reading isn’t the best!

The narrator isn’t the best at reading this book, there are too many pauses, and gaps between words, and it doesn’t seem to flow in being read, it sounds abit off and forced.
Would prefer my credit back then have to listen to this for longer.
Not the best Audiobook I’ve heard recently!!!!

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening, but not more then twice a year.
it's like a B

From rags to riches...

Jay is an Omega struggling to make ends meet. He comes from a well to do family, just left out. Luke is the Alpha with too many bad relationships with artists. But Jay is an artist... there’s a lot going on from the time they meet until they get together. I enjoyed the narration and the way they end up. HEA for Jay!

Brilliant

This was brilliant, I really enjoyed listening to this book and following Jay as he realised his full potential and meets back up with Luke. They have some family problems to sort through. The narrator brings the story to life.

Story flowed seamlessly

I was invested in this book from the first word to the last. I was delighted to discover that I own the book too, so when I couldn't listen, I could read instead!

I loved the slow build to Jay and Luke becoming lovers again. The wait made the actuality even better! The descriptive writing drew me in, whether it be about Jay's paintings, the "brothers", smells, colours...I actually forgot that there were two authors as the story flowed so seamlessly.

I must admit that I did get confused by all of the frat brothers and their different personalities to start with. The two that stood out for me were Teddy and Cody, so I will definitely continue with the series.

I also didn't see the second "romance" coming until well over halfway through the book. That was definitely a bonus!

The narration by Aleks Esquire is carefully spoken and thus very clear. It perhaps does lack in excitement at certain times. Nevertheless, I had no problem in hearing every word, despite being somewhat hard of hearing.
