Summary

Everything Ivy Morgan thought she knew has been turned on its head. After being betrayed and then nearly killed by the Prince of the Fae, she's left bruised and devastated - and with an earth-shattering secret that she must keep at all costs. And if the Order finds out her secret, they'll kill her.

Then there's Ren Owens, the sexy, tattooed Elite member of the Order who has been sharing Ivy's bed and claiming her heart. Their chemistry is smoking hot, but Ivy knows that Ren has always valued his duty to the Order above all else - he could never touch her if he knew the truth. That is, if he let her live at all. Yet how can she live with herself if she lies to him?

But as the Fae Prince begins to close in, intent on permanently opening the gates to the Otherworld, Ivy is running out of options. If she doesn't figure out who she can trust - and fast - it's not only her heart that will be torn apart but civilization itself.

" Torn was an emotional ride that was filled with uncertainty and characters I absolutely loved! It was everything I was hoping the second book would be and much, much more!" ( Star-Crossed Book Blog)

Love this series

I decided to re read the wicked series again as JLA is one of my absolute favourite authors, actually probably my favourite if I’m honest. So far I haven’t found a book she has written that I didn’t love and have re read.
The first book in the series was excellent. It leaves you needing to know what happens next. I read a review that says it has too much sex in this instalment. I admit there is more than in the first book but for me it doesn’t take anything away from the story at all. It is obvious that Ren is really into Ivy and even though they aren’t my favourite couple characters from JLAs books they have grown on me and I found myself hoping they get to stay together and there’s a HEA here. Even re reading it for about the 5th time overall, it doesn’t ruin it knowing I already know the outcome. There are so many obstacles for the couple to face and more so for Ivy alone. I love Tink, he brings a great lightness and comedy to the story and it carries across into the 1001 nights series The Prince/The King/The Queen. You also get to find out about some of the characters get on after this series which is great. Overall I would recommend this Wicked series and the follow books. Cx

Loved it!

I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel and finished it in a matter of days. There were some moments I didn't love but on the whole a great read 👌🏾

Brilliant!

Not everything is black white. Not all fae bad. Ivy believes that if she tells Ren her secret, he'll turn her over to the Elite.
The Prince wants her to fulfil a prophecy and ivy's life is about to get harder.
Fab book 2.

Not bad

Some parts seem very similar to another of her books and I think she may have even used the same line in it too but I really love this narrators voice, the characters are nice too, I really like Ivy and Tink, I wasn’t sure about Ren as he seemed a bit cheesy in the first one but I’ve warmed to him, I don’t really think these are books I’d listen to over and over but they’re not bad.

Loved this book

The story keeps you locked in, just like the last book, once you read it, it draws you in. What Ivy goes through is awful but faithful Ren is there, loved their journey. Can't wait to read the next book :)

Too much sex

The first book in this series was absolutely gripping so I was really excited when the second was published. Unfortunately there seems to be more sex scenes than dramatic scenes in this book and, although it later becomes apparent why the sex was so important, it really did get to me how much sex there was. It was like reading a young adult book crossed with a porn magazine.
