About this listen
Two men, two different worlds, one destiny.
Gunner has spent half his life running from his past, and the other half trying to protect himself from ever being vulnerable again. He’s escaped his old club and worked hard to earn the VP patch on his cut after joining the Broken Chains. But his entire life is turned upside down when Gunner’s past comes back to haunt him, and the club’s Deaf delivery guy ends up at the wrong place at the wrong time.
When his president asks him to protect the injured man, Gunner wants to say no. After all, he hasn’t been able to take his eyes off Logan since the day they met, and Gunner can’t afford that kind of distraction. But ignoring him is damn near impossible when every time he looks at Logan, he starts to feel something. And Gunner doesn’t think he has the power to resist him for much longer.
There will be no promise of a future though, if the Broken Chains can’t protect Logan from the mess he’s in, but even if they succeed, Gunner isn’t sure there’s a place for Logan in his world.
Broken Chains MC is a Motorcycle Club Romance series with dubious morality, mild violence, and happily ever afters.

Gunnar and Logan
Tidal Wave was my first book by E.M. Lindsey and I really enjoyed the Broken Chains MC prelude.
Gunnar has fled his old MC along with his little sister Maddie and starts a fresh start with her in another city. He finds a new club and becomes vice president there. Logan is deaf and he is Maddie's dance instructor. He also delivers to the Broken Chains garage from time to time. When he gets hurt, the president of the club asks Gunnar to protect Logan. The two spend a lot of time together. I liked this slow burn love story, but it took me a bit to feel the connection of Gunnar and Logan as a listener.
Everything seems to be going well until members of his old club show up in town. But then things get interesting and exciting and events start to spiral.
I really liked Gunnar because he will do anything to protect those he loves. And Logan also had my sympathies, because due to his deafness he has to struggle with some things.
I liked the story as well as the development of the characters. The love story is slow, but the author brings in suspense and also some romance. At the end it went almost too fast for me, I would have liked to hear that in more detail. I'm looking forward to more of the Broken Chains stories.
Logan Anare was not someone I had heard of before. I really liked his interpretation of the story and his way of bringing the protagonists to life.
This audiobook was provided to me as a free review copy upon request, this is my honest review

Great start
A great start to the series by EM Lindsey, a bit more on the action side that some of the other stories but still amazing. Gunner and Logan have a entertaining story. Logan Anare did a fabulous job with the narration. Hope to listen to more in the series and stories narrated by Logan.

great story
I don't think I've ever listened to this narrator before but they were good. I would definitely listen to him again (spoiler...I'm starting book 2 now).
The story itself was good. some angst and some challenges but love the diversity of the characters the E.M continues to showcase in their books.
fyi: I was provided a copy for an honest opinion. I would not have taken this book for review had I not enjoyed previous work of the writer or narrator. I also always listen to the sample of a new to me narrator to confirm I enjoy their voice. once I have have checked those I will request for a review copy because I know I'll enjoy them for the most part.

should have been half as long
half the book consists of the Mcs either bemoaning that they are not good enough or deseeve the other one or how though their life is. A lot of woe is me in a very repetative way.
DNFd an hour before the end although I was fed up with it hours before but kept hoping it would improve..
