Summary

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Kerri Maniscalco, Throne of the Fallen is Bridgerton set in the courts of Hell: a romantic venture within her Kingdom of the Wicked world, perfect for fans of fantasy, romance, and mystery alike.

With the curse broken, the Prince of Envy is finally free to get his revenge. His scheme requires the assistance of Camilla Antonius, a talented gallery owner and artist. Camilla's skills are needed to help him access a stolen memory Envy believes was painted into an illuminated manuscript that his spies claim is currently being housed in a goddess-run temple on the Shifting Isles.

Camilla's knowledge of art history makes her the best choice for the job, but-despite his allure and how intrigued she is by him-Camilla wants nothing to do with the demon prince, or the Seven Circles after seeing the chaos that follows them. Envy has been plotting for ages and came prepared. He reveals he purchased her father's debts and her assistance is the price he's asking for to clear them. If Camilla refuses to help, he vows to ruin her family, take her gallery, and turn them out on the streets.

Backed into a corner, Camilla is forced to accept the devil's bargain and they soon embark on a journey that may be as dangerous for their hearts as it is for their world.

Best audio book I’ve listened to.

These narrators should be utilised more often! The book, as expected, was wonderful, can’t wait for the next instalment.

Twist, turns with some fae envy ….

I’ve instantly purchased more of KM’s books - this was such a surprising find given I should have come across them sooner! I hope to hear more of the 7 bros stories 😉💥📚

Just as good as the first trilogy!!

Brilliant book just like the three that came before it, the twists could always go ether way after all its the seven deadly sin brothers at work and play! I really hope more books are already in the pipe line for the rest of the brothers and all the other game players in the underworld 🌠

Narrators

The female narrator has a wonderful voice but she sounded quite a bit older than the FMC’s age so not the right choice in my opinion

I’m sorry. I just couldn’t get into it

Being a massive fan of the Kingdom of the Wicked and Wrath and Emilia I dived into this book the moment it was released, convinced I was going to love it.

But unfortunately I didn’t. In rare moments I have to write negative review, I do it with a heavy heart and enormous feeling of responsibility. I respect Kerri M’s talent a lot. But I this latest instalment felt wrong on too many levels.

Characters were flat. For anyone who read the previous books and came across Envy simply couldn’t believe my words. But he was flat in this book. So was Camilla.

The instalust and the pining were grating on my nerves instead of filling me with sweet anticipation.

The dialogues were just a little flat again.

The story line was probably the best thing although I couldn’t get past the points above to really get into it. I stopped at chapter 35.

The only thing that kept me going so far were the narrators. Dual POV kind of worked and both narrators did a fantastic job.

When you find yourself rolling your eyes too many times (not in a god way) and wishing for the book to just end already is never a good sign.

I’m sorry, not for me but I’m so pleased to see so many other reviewers are loving it.
