About this listen
Sweetpea TV series starring Ella Purnell coming out on Sky Atlantic in October!
Everyone’s favourite serial killer is back, and she’s more unpredictable than ever…
Readers LOVE Thorn in My Side
Sometimes, you can be your own worst enemy…
Rhiannon Lewis thought she finally had it all: thanks to the pandemic she’s had to keep a much lower profile but has found happiness with her fiancé Rafael and his family. For once, she is surrounded by people who love her for who she is (or who they think she is).
After over 800 days without murdering anyone, the woman formerly known as the Sweetpea Killer thinks she might have finally turned over a new leaf.
That is until her soon-to-be sister-in-law has a run in with her abusive ex, and Rhiannon rediscovers her taste for revenge. This time, with a loving family in tow, the stakes are much higher. Wedded bliss and life as a normal person are finally within Rhiannon's reach, but you can never keep a good serial killer down.
Can you?

meh! teenage romance but awesome series
the first three books were my favourite I've read and re-read recently and was ecstatic to see a 4th released and read it straight through but it reads like a predictable teenage romance and not up to the first three books innovative exciting standards. though interested to see where the story went next i feel a disappointed after finishing it....narrator was excellent as usual. this was my least favourite of the 4 books but as a series still my favourite series ive read this past year.

WORTH THE WAIT
Greatly anticipated as enjoyed the other in series - my only gripe is the derogatory use of the name Karen as that’s my name! Other than that please bring in the next instalment

The best thriller type series I’ve ever read/listened to!
I’ve had this on preorder & was not so patiently waiting for the release. As soon as I knew I only had a week to wait & I re listened to the series from the start for the 4th time & I can honestly say I absolutely love it every single time a new book comes out.
Rhiannon is the serial killer that we can’t help but love, in this “chapter” you find yourself routing for her to be loved & fall in love with who she’s become and her new family. She obviously hasn’t turned a whole new leaf though and is still the funny, sadistic sweetpea we’ve grown to know and love.
I am truly gutted by this ending and really hope it is not so! Please be quicker with the next instalment I cannot wait another year 😂🤎

Brilliant
I have loved this book series and I cannot wait for the next installment. This one has been the most gripping. I was anxious about where the story was going to go next then the ending gave me heart palpatations from stress. Fantastic writing! I really really hope I'm right about what happens next.

Fantastic follow up
The sweet pea series is one of the few in my library I have re-listened to twice now. What a talented writer and narrator. Rhiannon is such a vibrant and multi-faceted character and the narrator performs her to perfection. Can’t wait for the next one 🙏 did I see something about a TV series? I really hope so 🤞

The dark humour continues
This is a great series. Sarcasm, humour, shock, sadness, psychology, there is a lot going on. And it is so well read by Georgia, just the right intonation for characters and narration. Looking forward to the next one.

Loved It! So funny, couldn't stop listening
Such an amazing book, best one in the series so far, I didn't want it to end. Such brilliant, clever writing. You would never expect a book about a serial killer to make you laugh out loud and care about the main character so much. It's funny, dark, heart warming. Georgia Maguire is brilliant as always and the perfect narrator for the Sweetpea books. I really loved this and can't wait for the next one.

Perfect, for the 4th book in a row
Excellent narration, fantastic writing. Equal parts gory and hilarious. I hadn’t realised a 4th book had been released so it’s been a few years since I listened to ‘In Bloom’ - luckily it didn’t matter, as soon as I heard the voice of ‘Rhiannon’ I remembered why I’d fallen in love with this series in the first place! Can’t wait for the next instalment. And any other book C.J. Skuse might write for that matter!
