Summary

When we bury our secrets, they always come back to haunt us...

Their rise was meteoric.

Only a few years before, they had been three friends from Glasgow, trying to survive in a world of danger and dysfunction.

Suddenly they were thrust on to the world’s biggest stage, accepting an Oscar in front of the watching world.

That night was the beginning of their careers. But it was the end of their friendships.

Over the next twenty years, Mirren McLean would become one of the most powerful writers in the industry.

Zander Leith would break box-office records as cinema’s most in-demand action hero.

And Davie Johnson would break the bank, raking in millions as producer of some of the biggest shows on TV.

For two decades they didn’t speak, driven apart by a horrific secret.

Until now...

Their past is coming back to bite them, and they have to decide whether to run, hide, or fight.

Because when you rise to the top, there’s always someone who wants to see you fall...

Stunning, superb story set in Glasgow and HOLLYWOOD, DESERVES AN OSCAR …..get listening 😊

A slow start soon leaps to a marvellous intriguing story of secrets and success, narrated brilliantly, pace is perfect and the life in Glasgow to the rise to the world of celebrity by the 3 main characters is compelling and atmospheric……I loved it , a super Novel enjoy . Excellent narration, good plot

The whole story is good, the characters are realistic humans with their charms and flaws. The plot is well run and the narrators are very good…I loved the parts with a Scottish accent ( may be a Scot would find anomalies?I just loved them and was transported there!

A bit boring

The narration was great, loved the accents
It was just boring and I couldn’t wait to get to the end. Too much flicking between characters.
Glad it was free.

Fun listen - not serious

This was such a fun listen, I used to love the Jackie Collins books in the day and this is so much like that. Simply just enjoyable and not series.

Another great find on the audible plus catalogue

Great audiobook!

Such a good listen . The story was unusual as well and you really get to know the characters. The narrators really make this enjoyable and the author is great. Would definitely recommend.

Jackie Collins bonk buster style novel

I nearly gave up after a few chapters, but stuck with it . The narration is good the underlying story is easily to guess . It is very much in the style of a Jackie Collins Hollywood type novel . Would probably be a good holiday listen

Really enjoyed this, look forward to second one

Really enjoyed this as an audio. Light hearted escapism, the characters are well written and observed. Found myself easily transported to LA even while listening on a cold rainy February in reality. Loved both narrators accents. Looking forward to number two.
