About this listen
She thinks our story is over. It’s just beginning.
Lennon Washington has been the star of every dream, every nightmare, since the day I lost her. Since the moment I let my demons win and she slipped through my fingers.
Her memory has haunted me. Changed me. Broken me and remade me. And I’d all but given up on us.
Now tragedy has brought her back into my life. My secrets are at her disposal. Hers are unraveling quickly. And every emotion we’ve tried to deny is returning with a vengeance.
But we’re not kids anymore. We have changed drastically. And with each new ache, I start to wonder...
Is there a place for us in this life, or will we have to try again in the next one?

This Life and All the Rest is the conclusion to the Next Life Duet. It has a guaranteed HEA. It is necessary to listen to book one, The Love of My Next Life, before listening to this one.

Exceptional Story & Narration🎧Gripping & Emotional
I love, love, loved the first book of the “Next Life Duet”, it was absolutely amazing so I was not sure how Brit Benson was going to top that book or even keep up with the momentum, but she did and then some. This book starts out with a jump in the timeline, and it is four years later, Lennon was living in France and does not go by Lennon anymore, she is no longer that girl and goes by Capri. Then she gets the call that she has to return home, a place she has avoided since she was forced to leave to go stay with her aunt in London, but her father had a massive heart attack and she must go to face her past. Macon is back home and has matured into a responsible adult, a family man who is doing his thing in the recreation center as well as his art. Lennon may have given up on him, but he never gave up on her and was just biding his time to make his move and set her straight. Capri return home is not an easy one, but Andrea welcomes her with open arms, but it was awkward with Macon but she kept it cordial, but you can cut the tension between them with a nice. There is so much unresolved between them, Lennon was kept in the dark about things and so were we, but we get answers, and some of them are gut wrenching. The writing and plotting of this book is exceptional, there are look backs to events that happened in their lives after they left and in the end not only do we find out exactly what happened that night that both Macon and her father crushed Lennon’s heart, but Lennon does too. This is not an easy love story and Benson put these characters through the wringer, but in the end, everything is how it was meant to be. It was great to see that Lennon and Sam’s friendship was stronger than ever. I despised Claire and her antics in the first book, I wish I could say she redeems herself in this book, but sorry no can do. I highly recommend this duet, it is a unique story and one that will stay with me for a very long time. Brit Benson, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, J.F. Harding and Lidia Dornet continue to do an exceptional job of bringing these characters and story to life. I love how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I picture to characters to sound. Their character voices are consistent and so is the quality of their performance and the sound. They have done these characters justice throughout the duet, grew with them as they grew, captured their every emotion and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and their narration enhanced this exceptional story to another level. Thank you, it is always a pleasure to listen to your audio performance.

Captivating ending to this duet!
This Life and All The Rest - Book 2 of the Next Life Duet
With the cliffhanger book 1 left us on, I couldn't wait to start book 2 and see how Lennon and Macon get to their happily ever after! This book proved to be just as captivating although I would say maybe a little less angst but still plenty of being a messy romance! Picking up 4 years later, Lennon has been living in Paris and heads home to be with her family and has to come face to face with Macon. There was no denying their attraction and love for other as ne another. This story has heart, forgiviieness, spice, betrayal, and a second-chance worth reading! I was thrilled the person who betrayed them was not instantly forgiven although there were moments where I was frustrated with all characters! The growth and mending of their relationship was a beautiful story.
Brit Benson is a fairly new to me author as I have only listened to one other book besides this duet. I have thoroughly enjoyed her writing, compelling characters, and I'm looking forward to more of her books.
JF Harding and Lidia Dornet gave stellar performances! Their voices meshed well together, and they both had me feeling all the emotions of Lennon and Macon throughout the duet.

Gripping conclusion!
This is the second installment in the Next Life Duet. I loved to follow Macon and Lennon in their emotional journey to love. This is a great second chance romance, and a gripping conclusion to their story. The story is intense, filled with secrets, and angst. The ending is beautiful. JF Harding and Lidia Dornet did an excellent job bringing these characters, and this story to life.

Epic conclusion!!
Audiobook review: Narrated by JF Harding and Lidia Dornet
I can't say enough good things about this duet. I was pleasantly surprised by the character development between book one and book two. The time jump was masterfully done and left so many unanswered questions that I really feel added much more of an emotional impact to the second part of this story. The pacing of the storyline was perfect and kept me engaged to the point that I only paused this when absolutely necessary. Every action, inaction, miscommunication and personality change were explained in such a way that left a satisfying ending while also leaving questions to be answered for some of the side characters.
Lidia Dornet shined here. She was such a chameleon and voiced every female character in such a way that they all had their own unique personalities. JF Harding once again was amazing and voiced Macon in a way that you can hear the maturity level in comparison to the same character in book one. Absolutely amazing audio performances.

My poor little heart 🥹
After the first book ended with a 𝖈𝖗𝖆𝖟𝖞 cliffhanger and with a 𝖇𝖗𝖔𝖐𝖊𝖓 heart, I just had to continue listening to this book that closes the duet.
All I could think about was "What will happen now with Lennon and Macon?!"
My thoughts were 𝖗𝖆𝖈𝖎𝖓𝖌 and I was trying to think how Brit will reunite my heart?
This book takes place 4 years forward, and Lennon gets a phone call that doesn't leave her with many options.
She's returning home after 4 years away.
4 years without a message, call or a letter from each other.
How will Lennon and Macon react when they see each other?
I didn't think I'd be so 𝖆𝖉𝖉𝖎𝖈𝖙𝖊𝖉 to this duet, I didn't expect to be so 𝖈𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖉 𝖆𝖜𝖆𝖞, but I finished it in one day and stayed up and thought about it for hours.
The characters, the plot, entire scenes just live in my heart and mind now and will continue to live there, Brit Benson 𝖇𝖚𝖗𝖓𝖊𝖉 them in me in an indescribable way❤️
I fell 𝖒𝖆𝖉𝖑𝖞 in love with Lennon and Macon 🥹 they captured my heart in a way that I don't have enough words to describe how much!
Macon gave me the feeling of a 𝖇𝖗𝖔𝖐𝖊𝖓 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖚𝖓𝖋𝖎𝖝𝖆𝖇𝖑𝖊 hero who 𝖉𝖎𝖉𝖓'𝖙 𝖌𝖎𝖛𝖊 𝖆 𝖉𝖆𝖒𝖓 about what would happen to him, but then when I got glimpses of his points of view all I wanted to do was hug him tight and not let go.
Lennon 𝖈𝖗𝖚𝖘𝖍𝖊𝖉 me🥺 her character made me admire her and want to tell her "Rest now child, let me 𝖋𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝖞𝖔𝖚𝖗 𝖜𝖆𝖗𝖘 for you"🥹
The second book was so much more 𝖒𝖎𝖓𝖉-𝖇𝖑𝖔𝖜𝖎𝖓𝖌 than the first one!
What Brit put me through in the first book was "fun and games" compared to this book!
In this book she caught me completely off guard! COMPLETELY OFF GUARD!!!
And for that this book gets 5 stars🌟!
The heroes went through a 𝖘𝖍𝖆𝖐𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖏𝖔𝖚𝖗𝖓𝖊𝖞, 𝖕𝖆𝖎𝖓𝖋𝖚𝖑 but very necessary! (I love books that are realistic, logical and not detached from reality) Second Chance for love is one of my favorites tropes ❤️
Such a strong, 𝖊𝖒𝖔𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓𝖆𝖑 duet, the kind that will make you want to 𝖙𝖊𝖆𝖗 𝖞𝖔𝖚𝖗 𝖍𝖆𝖎𝖗 𝖔𝖚𝖙 and at the same time understand that good things are worth waiting for ❤️
