About this listen
The fifth Inspector John Carlyle mystery finds him on the hunt for an Israeli hit squad leaving a trail of dead bodies across London. 'I need to talk to you...about your father.'
Inspector John Carlyle gets the shock of his life when his mother announces she is getting a divorce after 50 years of marriage. But that's nothing compared to the storm that erupts when he stumbles across an execution of a wealthy businessman in a luxury London hotel room. The victim is the latest in a line of bodies being left across London by a ruthless Israeli hit squad.
Going up against this deadly crew could prove to be fatal to Carlyle, but compared to his troubles at home, however, tracking them is something of a relief. But the body count continues to rise and then it gets personal.... Can Carlyle sweep the killers from London's streets before more innocent people die?
James Craig worked previously as a journalist and TV producer. Born in Scotland, he has lived and worked in London for 30 years.
©2013 James Craig (P)2013 Audible LtdIt was good and very listenable to - apart from it rambling on a bit in the middle. Interesting family story on the sideline.
4 stars for story as it rambled on a bit

Would you consider the audio edition of Then We Die to be better than the print version?
I haven't read the print version.Who was your favorite character and why?
Carlyle & his wife are really enjoyable characters. His is so well penned & there is lots of humour. What does Joe Jameson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
I haven't read the book, but there is a lot of expression in the reading and a lot of voices, due to the number of characters involved. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
No, I can't say that there was.Any additional comments?
This book was an opening dip into this character. I will read more. I love the humour and the detection. A lot of blood if made into a television series!Carlyle Is A Hoot!
