Even though this book's title is about body image anxiety, it offers so much more, and I am grateful for the opportunity to listen to it.
The subject of body dysmorphia is close to my heart. One of my family members suffers from it. It's very challenging as, most of the time, I do not know how to support her the right way. The fear of body criticism is real, and we should accept and understand it.

This book is an eye-opener for me. It offers solid and accessible advice, lots of hands-on activities, meditation practices, techniques to awaken mindfulness, prompts to change behavioral patterns, and much more.
Mental healing from body dysmorphia is a long process, a hard one. Any help along the way is important and this book provides exactly this type of help in a friendly and encouraging way.

Though I don’t have issues with body dysmorphia, I have a niece who is struggling with body image anxiety and accompanying eating disorders. For years I have been looking for resources to help her, and I find this book particularly useful in that regard.

I love the focus on holistic well-being encompassing empowerment and self-compassion. I was especially impressed by Step No. 10 which discusses how to embrace a life of purpose and fulfillment. Eating disorders are no joke. They can be very dangerous and be that suffer from them walk a fine line each day. I think the way the information is presented in this audiobook is remarkable. I suffer from Body Dysmorphia and Binge Eating Disorder and I found this book to be so inspirational and motivational. I feel like a have a path to recovery in front of me now and it is up to me to put the work in. The narrator is wonderful to listen to and very engaging. 5 stars all around!
