Such a moving story

What did you like most about The Storyteller?

The story was well told and the historical aspects were very moving indeed. It gave such a tangible experience of the World War II events.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Storyteller?

Grandma's experiences in the concentration camp

What three words best describe the narrators’s voice?

Well there were several narrators and it was extremely annoying that the narrator for the German characters was obviously unable to pronounce German. He was very poorly chosen.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

History runs deep in our blood

Any additional comments?

One of my favorite Jodie Picoult stories.

What a journey!

Jodi Picoult delivers again. Weaving story within story within story - what a genius. Brilliantly researched and written, digging deep into psyches of her characters and tackling one of the most abhorrent times in history with unusual compassion.

Very powerful and well researched

I almost didn't finish this book a few times owing to me being a bit confused as to which story I was listening to. It all made sense in the end. It is very long and one needs to concentrate. It was quite depressing at times too. There were lighter moments - but the grandmother-her story and narration were exceptional.

Excellent- couldn't put it down.

Some shocking descriptions made it not for bed time reading and the ending was totally unexpected.

A little bit more

I loved this all the way through, although it's not a happy story. However, the ending left me feeling a little bit like it wasn't quite all tied up.

Compelling. A novel that will stay with you.

Wow. This book was so difficult to listen to but I could not stop listening.
The narrator who told the grandmother’s story was fantastic- I don’t know how she got through narrating such a harrowing story.
I would definitely recommend reading or listening- but have tissues to hand. This is a book that will stay with you.

Excellent Read

Loved this book. I was captivated throughout and emotionally connected to the story and it's characters. There were a few narrators which were all excellent, and which made this possibly my best audio book yet.
