wow its better than good.
I was lucky enough to get a copy of this book and I'm leaving an honest and voluntary review.
Wow! its good, better than good, incredibly well written, love the dark side of humanity the author has thrown into this story, the characters themselves are fantastic, perfectly suited to this book, having not your typical zombies in this is a welcome change, the author has captured a truly remarkable sense of believability. there's not many books I rave about but is is 1 book I fell in love right away. DO Yourself a favour and get this, its brilliant.
The narration is so apt and flawless, it really brings the story with life, as to with the characters. what a winning combo.

I loved the story line and the book is very well written, I would definitely listen to more of Donna's work.
I wasn't keen on the narrator for this story somehow he just didn't fit this book. There was nothing wrong with how he read the book and his voice is very soothing but for me it just didn't fit the story.

CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE
The Sacrifice was my first introduction to the work of Donna Collins – and it won’t be my last. I was gripped by the story, eloquently narrated by Andy Stevenson, so much so that I listened at every opportunity as I compelled to know what happened next. That’s the beauty of audiobooks – I can be ‘read to’ when gardening or making the dinner! And what better way, when performing otherwise mundane tasks, than listening to a scary story. Andy brought the characters to life – even the dead ones! It may be fiction, but Donna writes in a way that makes it all seem very plausible. I hope I don’t have to wait too long before the second instalment is released as an audiobook.

I really liked this series
I was given this book for free from audiobook boom and asked to leave an unbiased review for the author and narrator.
I enjoyed this series, it’s a great premise for a story. Some people will probably say it has a lot of Christian overtones, but I would not agree with those statements. Its based on a theory that Christianity desperately hides, that Jesus was an actual man and had children. I thought there was enough explanation to bolster the supernatural aspects of the story and I found it very entertaining. I would have definitely used a credit on each book and would recommend this series. Of course book 3 leaves an ending for the possibility of another book, but unlike a lot of series you actually get closure at the end of the book which I liked. Books 2 and 3 don’t stand on their own, so you need to listen to them in order. There not written so that you can just listen to 2 or 3 and not 1 and you need to go in order.
I thought the narrator was great for this story. Andy Stevenson continues to get better with every book of his that I listen to. He uses inflections and changes his voice for the different characters unlike a lot of narrators I’ve listened to so its entertaining rather than just some reading a book to you. I believe he also produced these books himself and I thought he did a great job. There are parts where you hear 2 characters speaking together or the voices echo because they are in a well and he made it actually sound like the characters were speaking inside of a well. Good job Andy.

good read!
this is a hard book to review. For one the narration is awesome. For two the storyline is good. But it kind of lacks focus. It could be a zombie book for a tween or it could be the beginning of an adult series. the explicit sex scenes aren't needed.
I think the author is a great storyteller.
I think as she develops the characters and goes on with the rest of the series it will grow. But for the first one it just needs some finesse.
Well worth your time and well worth a read.

Excellent storyline with twists and turns
This is my first book by Donna Collins. I unequivocally loved it! She is absolutely in my top 3 authors.
This is a thriller, mystery suspense series with well developed characters, twists and turns that grabs the listener’s attention. Every detail is carefully constructed that brings the book alive. Ms. Collins took me on a journey that was visceral, painful, emotional and I will never forget it. Truly, an amazing introduction to her writing. Andy Stevenson did a great job narrating. He nailed each character and their personalities. I cannot wait for the second book in this series. I highly recommend this book. Bravo Ms. Collins and Mr. Stevenson!

It was a little hard to get into the story at the beginning, but after I did I really enjoyed it. It had many paranormal characters and many times I wasn't sure who the good guys were. Which is also in part what confused me at times. Overall I really enjoyed this story and the narrator did a wonderful job.
