Summary
Since the day I was crowned Queen of the Night Court, someone has been trying to kill me. Yay, me!
Finding my would-be-killer has been last on my to do list for a long time—which should tell you what a dumpster fire my life has been. But I can’t ignore it anymore. Whoever is plotting against me is getting serious. If I don’t do something soon I might not survive their next attempt.
Normally, I’d count on Rigel—my consort, who also happens to be a deadly fae assassin—to have my back. But he’s been gone for two months, and when he finally returns he won’t say where he’s been. Great, that’s totally not sketchy.
To make matters worse, I love Rigel—and he doesn’t believe me when I tell him! How’s that for romance?
New to do list: Catch my would-be killer and convince my own husband I love him. All in a day’s work for the Night Queen.
I knew I should have demanded a job description before I took on this queen gig….
Crown of Shadows is the final book in the Court of Midnight and Deception urban fantasy trilogy and is part of the Magiford Supernatural City world. It features fae, werewolves, vampires, and wizards. It’s packed with humor, adventure, and a sweet, slow burn romance between a reluctant fae queen and the assassin who tried to kill her.

SO GOOD!
Did I love this series? Yes, yes, I did. It’s funny, clean, lighthearted, modern fantasy, with fun characters and a plot that keeps you interested (at least it kept me interested). I love Leila, and I really hope to see her in future Magiford series - and based on the cliffhanger, there had better be future Magiford books. But let’s be honest, at this point I’m hooked and will read anything K. M. Shea decides to write.
I highly recommend this series and author to anyone who enjoys funny, clean, fantasy with a dash a romance.

KM Shea books
I really enjoy these books. I like that there is an end to the story and that there are other trilogies around the same group of people

I love this book!!
The romance the drama and the witty characters are perfection. I can’t wait for each of her books to come out I’m so glad that she has so many great ones that I can reread. And this is one that I can listen to and read and talk about over and over again!!

LOVE the series
Good writing. KM Shea does witty banter and fun characters super well. The books set in Magiford (yes, this is one of those) are excellent clean romance, meaning there is a romantic element on a normal adventure storyline.

The Queen's Crown is a well written story with engaging characters and an entertaining plot. It's the perfect ending to Leila's and Rigel's story.
