Summary
Actress Willow Carruthers is living the dream in London, with an Oscar on her shelf, a rock-star husband and two gorgeous children. But Willow isn't coping with her seemingly perfect life.
Country girl Kitty Middlemist arrives in London desperate for a job. She has a perfect pedigree on paper but no particular skills in real life. Work is hard to find until Kitty, quite by chance, takes on a job with Willow.
As their lives and secrets become intertwined, Willow and Kitty discover there is no such thing as chance - only destiny.
The Perfect Chance is a short story and just the beginning for Willow and Kitty. Their stories continue in The Perfect Retreat.

Terrible accents. Horrible characters
Don’t waste your time on this. It’s crass and the characters are utterly unlikeable. The Scottish accent is completely cringe

31 minutes????? WHAT???
Errrrr is it supposed to be only 31 minutes?????
Was really enjoying it as I’d read The Perfect Retreat first so was looking forward to listening to how Kitty came into Willows life.

Hooked from the very 1st chapter
I absolutely love this 1st book of the series The Perfect ....... This story will have you hooked on the story line. I know I am. can't believe it. Now instead of it being book 0.5. I think the 1st proper book will be amazing like the 0.5 book. Absolutely hooked on the storyline. Amazingly well written

Disappointingly short!
I was so disappointed when this finished so abruptly, my cuppa hadn’t even gone cold! I was really looking forward to discovering Willow and Kitty’s backstories, having got halfway through The Perfect Retreat before searching for more by Kate Forster and deciding I should get the full picture before continuing. It really isn’t a negative review - my disappointment comes through having really enjoyed The Perfect Retreat so far. I really like Kate Forster’s storytelling; witty, thought provoking, relatable characters in fantasy situations with just the right amount of sauciness! In the faintest hope that the author sees this - please do us a full prequel, I’m dying to know if the slime bag hubby ever had any redeeming qualities!
