Superb !!!

Gripping story with many twists and turns from start to finish and I found it both enjoyable and addictive .The narration was a joy to listen to and I believe Peter May has excelled himself with this book.

Excellent

Listened to all other books by the May Forbes combo and really enjoyed them too.
This one brought in a plethora of new agendas, which were covered so well.
Unsure that 18 year olds I know would drop everything but an interesting part of the tour. Hopefully, book 2 in due course?

A little predictable?!

As always, Peter Forbes’ narration cannot be faulted. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading/listening to most of Peter May’s books but I did find Miss Elliot rather unconvincing. I realise she is young but her naivety on many occasions was unbelievable. Otherwise a great story but would have liked a few more sentences to produce a more satisfactory ending!

Peter May at his very best

I have read most of Peter May's work and have always admired his descriptive style and ability to string many storylines together but this book tops the lot. All action from the start, a REAL page Turner. Brilliantly read. I thank all concerned for bringing this book to Audible

Peter May never disappoints

Taken back to the 1970s. To the IRA and Cambodia. This story throws a light on those terrible times. Peter makes you care very much what happens to all the characters. At one point I was considering stopping because I could bare to find out what happened. But I stuck with it and was pleased I had. My nerves are in shreds but I wish there was a sequel :)

Gruelling listening

You need a strong stomach to listen to this book, especially at mealtimes. A harrowing tale with gratuitous detail at times. Nothing left to the imagination! Nonetheless it is an interesting insight into a part of history now tragically half forgotten.
