Absolutely brilliant.

Neil Gaiman is a fantastic narrator as well as author. His stories take you to amazing places, dark places, weird places you never thought you'd go. would highly recommend to anyone just getting into his work or even if you were already a fan, such as myself, just to hear the stories read by the man himself.

Intriguing and delightful range of stories

I really enjoy Neil Gaiman's style of storytelling, and the way he weaves his worlds. Hard to describe really, but I found pretty much all the stories in the collection enchanting and interesting in their own ways.

Narration by the author was a delight as always.

If you have read / listened to Fragile Things then some of the stories will be familiar, but it's not necessarily a bad thing to repeat them, and there are enough different stories that I'd still recommend this collection even if you have read fragile things or another collection recently.

I cannot be happier this exists

I've only just gotten into Gaiman's stuff. This could not have come along at a better time. There is something simply special about it. I cannot thank him enough.

Amazing experience

Great stories beautifully narrated. I love Neil Gaiman and his work and this was the perfect companion to many months of commute, the background to many afternoons of work. Totally recommended.

Some stories are very good

Gaiman is not my favourite author, but really, some stories are very good. I think it's a credit well spent.

Childhood reinvented

What a treat! A multiverse of takes, fables and glimpses of make-believe worlds you wish you could travel to. If I live to be a grandad one day, there are stories to be draw from to keep them young ones wait for yet another bedtime story.

Loved it.

It’s not the first time I’ve read/heard these but it was great to hear them in Neil Gaiman’s own voice and to have a load of good stories together. I think it did indeed contain most of my favourites.

Mind bending wonders

Short stories tend to leave me wanting more, wishing it was a novel, but they are also a clever idea, a thought experiment not fluffed up with padding. I was often left uncomfortable but never board, always wanting more.
