Enjoyable well read nostalgic

Reading recognising Galloway characters from series and missing sections of their lives; some sentimentality inevitable

A mix of the best with enough Ruth G to keep you happy

A brilliant collection of short stories with all the usual favourites. Thank you Elly, just what I needed to calm my Ruth Galloway cravings

A Catch Up

Loved this book; it was so good to catch up with Ruth, Nelson et al.
I was rather perplexed to find there was a story in it written by someone else though. It was a story I knew well. I had assumed the whole book was by Elly Griffiths. Seemed out of place somehow.

A brilliant book!

It was a long time coming but well worth the wait. Each story was great in its own right with just the right amount of diversity. Narration was excellent- Jane Mc Dowell can always be trusted to deliver. Wonderful to catch up again with characters who have become old friends and an inspired last short story bringing all of the various Elly Griffiths characters together for a finale. Highly recommended listening!

Mixed bag!

I'll start by saying that I'm not really a fan of short story collections. I find there are usually a few great stories but lots of very average stories, and this book didn't really change my opinion. I did enjoy the stories featuring characters from the Ruth Galloway and Max Mephisto series but some of the others were just far too short and didn't really get going. Sorry :-(

The book is narrated by a whole host of voice actors, including some who narrate Elly's different series.

Disappointed

Nowhere near the usual standard, left wanting, it felt like it was old projects chucked together to make something!
