Loved it!

Loved this audiobook. Amazingly, all of the characters are richly drawn, the story is very engaging and the narration is excellent (I do have a weakness for ruch Irish accents). Recommended.

Truly awful narration

The book was poorly written and monotonous but the worst part was the narrator, particularly the female voice. she droned on in a monosyllabic, bored voice that stayed the same, even when she was apparently in danger.

Enjoyed it but...

Some weird, annoying Americanisms, and the main protagonist narrator's attempt at a Cork accent hurt my ears

Very Disappointing and a struggle to finish

I saw this book reviewed in the national press and thought it was just the type of book I really enjoyed. I found it to be a real let down and I struggled to finish it. One of the main problems was the female narrator it just sounded as if she was reading a book there was no real emotion or connection with the character she was portraying. The plot just drifted along with no twists or surprises and by the end I could not care less what had happened to Liz or what would happen to Will. There was no depth to the characters and no intention to their actions. This could have been a really great story like The Innocent Wife but ended up falling far short. Not an author I would rush to read again.

Narration dreadful

2nd Catherine Ryan Howard book recommended to me and purchased that I simply couldn't continue to listen to because of the female narrator. Pity as the story sounded good

Unsatisfactory

I enjoyed the performance, I think I enjoyed the book and it's many realistic characters but feel cheated out of a proper explanation that ties everything. The last act of the killer didn't quite make sense and such little things like Ali 's ending should have been explored more. I just feel unsatisfied with the whole thing

Could not stop listening

This is the 5th book by this author that I’ve read, and it’s my favourite. It induced the right amount of shocked gasps from me, loved every minute.

A thriller that delivers

Alison is an ordinary student at a Dublin university when she finds herself at the centre of one of the big stories of the day - her boyfriend is a murderer. Ten years later there is a spate of copycat murders and Alison confronts her past head-on.

This really was a great story, well narrated by all, which kept my attention from beginning to end.
