Summary

Ronan Wentz has been to hell and back, and he carries the scars to prove it. Worse: The blood of a monster runs through his veins.

After 10 years in foster care, 18-year-old Ronan is finally reunited with family. His uncle gives him a roof over his head and puts him to work, managing a shabby apartment complex in Santa Cruz, California. But a second chance is still a second chance. Ronan becomes a solitary hunter, a vigilante, walking the streets at night to keep the nightmares at bay. If he can use the anger burning in his tainted blood to protect instead of hurt, maybe then he’ll find the absolution he seeks.

Then he meets Shiloh.

Shiloh Barrera looks like she has it all together. Smart, ambitious, and full of artistic creativity she channels into making beautiful, one-of-kind jewelry. But Shiloh’s cool, capable demeanor is a front. Her demons drive her to succeed as much as her ambition - to prove her worth to the mother who can’t stand to look at her and who’s harboring secrets of her own.

When Shiloh and Ronan meet, the physical attraction is instant and scorching. Neither believe it will last. Falling in love is an impossible pipe dream saved for those less shattered and damaged than they are. But as hard as they try to resist, the growing feelings between them seem inevitable...until one terrible night destroys Shiloh’s dreams and Ronan’s future. When the smoke clears, and the rubble settles, they’ll have to choose: Do their pasts determine their future, or can they build a new one from the broken pieces of their hearts?

Trio of stories the lost boys

Loved them all.
Good story line
Great characters
All pulled together neatly at the end.
A little predictable but I didn’t mind that as it all flowed well.

So gripping and beautiful

I loved every single book from start to finish. There was not a second where I was bored or not engrossed. I felt so many different emotions throughout, crying , laughing, worrying…
I’m kind of sad I’ve got to the end and now don’t have the books to look forward to in my spare time.
I have recommended these books to friends.

It’s a shame

I loved the lost boy’s books, however the last one drove me nuts when the woman kept doing the man’s voice. No-one sounds like that. Why didn’t they use Ronan’s speaker and vice Versa with shylo.

Really gutted I used my credit on this

I got into it pretty quickly but then I got mixed up with the characters and it went downhill from there.
The female narrator's depiction of the Male character's voice is unbearable to listen to. The story is so slow and I get the feeling that the characters are still very much supporting characters for the previous books even during their own story.
I still have three hours left and I have forced myself to listen after the first hour. I won't be finishing it.

Brilliant

If you do anything in boring January you must listen to the 3rd book of the lost boys series it’s a great read I’d recommend reading/listening to the first two books first because it all comes together nicely at the end . I just really liked the characters Emma Scott draws you in with the story it’s a really good audible.

This was a good book!

All three books in this series were really wonderful. They all tell a story of true undying love no matter the struggle and of people who survive incredible loss and struggle and pain to realize they deserve all the love in the world. There is enough middle stuff in Order for it not to be too sappy. I am looking in to more books from this author since I loved these books so much.

story good, but narration mediocre

I want to say the story was great, but Morae Brehon's narration really is one note. Her male narration sound like they're all old Southern men, like Foghorn Leghorn. And the women are so breathy and tortured, that there's no joy or redeeming quality in the women. You have to suspend all of that and really push through for the story and the romance and the dialogue. I really like the writing.

perfect epilogue

I loved this series. I have listened to the series 3 times now and keep coming back due to the stories that draw you in. The epilogue is fantastic and makes me want a book to show 10 years later about what all the "lost boys" and the woman and man who love them are up to.

Amazing

This whole series is so good. All 3 stories were very interesting, great narration, phenomenal character development. Angst, twists, happiness and plenty of steamy romance. This book ties everything up beautifully. Don’t miss it!

Great series

Liked the character development, growth and change in all characters in the series. Acknowledgement/recognition that individual changes take time and hard work.
