Very well told story, very well narrated and an all too believable lapse of the high standards of a civilization by everyday compromises and perhaps something more sinister.

Most of the character voices were convincing, but I think the narrator needs to research the pronunciation of Hagia Sophia.

This is the best back story to the Picard Series.Very well written and the reader does an AMAZING job of mimicking Patrick Stewart..very well done.

An excellent book that fills in a lot of the blanks between Star Trek -The Next Generation and Star Trek - Picard
Only criticism is the voice acting.. Whilst most excellent doing Picard, the other characters were hard to decipher between genders and characters.

I loved that this filled in blanks and acted as a prequel between TNG and PIC. It remained true to the PIC canon, and the voice acting really captured the different personalities. Fantastic voice acting.

The story itself I found a little shallow and dare I say boring. I’m more into mystery and technology. I suppose acting as a prequel it didn’t have much room to grow.

Glad I listened to it though.

After the incident the book then started to jump forward years without explanation of what had happened. It almost felt the author got bored or needed to rush it.
