About this listen
The Keeper of Lost Things: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!*
Meet the 'Keeper of Lost Things'...
Once a celebrated author of short stories now in his twilight years, Anthony Peardew has spent half his life collecting lost objects, trying to atone for a promise broken many years before.
Realising he is running out of time, he leaves his house and all its lost treasures to his assistant Laura, the one person he can trust to fulfil his legacy and reunite the thousands of objects with their rightful owners.
But the final wishes of the 'Keeper of Lost Things' have unforeseen repercussions which trigger a most serendipitous series of encounters...
*Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

A silly little romance, engaging enough.
There were parts which were beautifully written and yet I was put off mainly by the narration. Laura’s voice sounded as if it was put on and the accents were also a little cloying and fake.
The storyline was good enough to keep me listening but I should have stuck to the paperback. It’s the kind of book you read on the plane or on holiday. Nothing challenging. But what did I expect?

Just wonderful!
It was so wonderful to listen to a story with a booktrack. It gave this lovely story even more depth. Ruth Hogan is a talented writer - very descriptive. I will definitely look for more of her work. I also really enjoyed Jane Collingwood's narration, as well as Sandra Duncan's.
