Spot on - sensitive, informed, so helpful
Wow. What a brilliant, brilliant book. The best there is out there on the subject. The author captured my attention from the very start, it was as though she was talking to me about me. I have read so many books to help me overcome my silent and secret pain of feeling not good enough and working myself to the ground to reach my achievements, all the while feeling inadequate. This book helped me to stop and take stock. The author was compassionate, informed and provided helpful insights, not condescending like some self-help books out there, it was as though she was guiding me step by step in a safe and sensitive way to get to the root of my imposter syndrome and it all resonated with me. I waited a week to write this review because I wanted to see if it made any difference and there were a few notable changes in me that I have seen this week: I didn't get palpitations just opening my mouth and expressing my views on a conference call while working from home. I didn't panic over a looming deadline . I feel confident to ask for a payrise which I have been avoiding for some time. This would not have happened if I had not listened to this audibook. I'm so grateful to the author for sharing her knowledge and her willingness to help so many of us to manage this debilitating condition. If Dr Jessamy is reading this, I cannot express my gratitude to you enough. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. Please continue to write/record more audiobooks on this (imposters are so overworked, audiobooks help to reduce excessive screen time ;)).

A long overdue wake up call
Absolutely loved it, and realise it was long overdue. I now have a much better understanding of the Imposter Syndrome and how it has been impacting me for a very long time so I am ready to take all I have learnt from this book and move forward out of my comfort zone confidently. Easy to listen to, and great content. Thank you!

Brilliantly insightful & very practical
Really engaging from the very beginning and packed full of relatable insights from Dr Hibberd’s extensive clinical practice that help to frame the narrative. The depth of knowledge Dr Hibberd brings to this field is impressive and gave me all the confidence I needed to trust in the process and follow the perfectly-paced practical activities/exercises in each section of the book. The style of writing and journey through the chapters made listening to this book feel like an extended one-to-one therapy session, in all the best ways. Whilst some sections provoked challenging personal realisations and reflections there was a real sense of being supported by Dr Hibberd, knowing that she was inviting me to take a journey that she’d mapped out, and which would help me see my familiar surroundings from a different perspective. I now feel that I not only have new awareness and knowledge, but the practical exercises have provided me with tools to enhance my everyday life and to support a brilliantly successful future.

An excellent guide out of the imposter trap
Another reviewer stated that the book is repetitive and gave it a very bad review.
For the first chapter I was concerned that this reviewer was right.
However, once the basics were covered and the key ideas were introduced (a few times), the book really took off.
I highly recommend it to anyone who suffers from that feeling of not being as capable as your peers.
I was surprised at the use of the term 'cure' in the title. Psychologists wouldn't normally make such a bold claim, but having listened to the entire book I believe that if one was to implement the guidance contained, then it could be a cure to the imposter syndrome.

Super Insightful
For me, it was incredible to hear the ins and outs of this annoying "syndrome", to see how many different personality types I fit into and to get an insight into how it affects other people.
There's a review that said it was repetitive and unhelpful. This couldn't be further from the truth and I suspect the person who wrote that only listened to the opening credits.
