Summary
Tori Graham is in need of a holiday. Trying to piece her heart back together after losing the love of her life, she escapes to Blossom Cottage, with its picturesque views of the sea. And plans to spend the summer in gorgeous Sandcastle Bay, where her best friend Melody Rosewood lives.
Tori’s not expecting her summer by the beach to be eventful, until she meets handsome and mysterious Aidan Jackson. Aidan looks after the holiday cottage Tori is staying in. Healing from past hurts, he wants to avoid any further chance of heartache. But could this newcomer be the breath of fresh air he needs?
Finding herself embracing life in the coastal community, Tori starts to fall in love with Sandcastle Bay and its welcoming cast of residents. But that’s not all she begins to fall for, as Tori is swept away by Aidan’s genuine heart and mischievous sense of humour. The attraction between them is undeniable, but will a simple holiday romance be enough? As Tori’s stay in Sandcastle Bay comes to an end she has a tough decision to make.
Has her heart found a new place to call home?

Disappointing for modern day.
I love Holly Martin books but I was really disappointed that she included people releasing balloons to remember a deceased family member. It will encourage others to do it when dead people can’t see them but they end up killing innocent animals and polluting the environment. Very short sighted and harmful in this day and age.

A Really Lovely Book
I love Holly Martin books. The story was good but I felt it was a bit rushed. This in turn spoilt it for me.
The narrator does have an annoying voice especially with certain characters.
I did get over these bits & managed to enjoy it in the end.

Potential but could have been better
The storyline is ok, it's a slushy essay listening story, however I found phrases of it so repetitive repeating parts of the storyline on many occasions, very novice.
Also was not overly taken with the whining voice of the narrator.

Loved this book
I loved this book, it was well written, the characters came to life and the humour was great. I laughed and cried. It is the first book I have heard by this author and am now going to look for more of her work.

Narrator
good story and carried on with reading on kindleCouldn’t carry in with this due to narrators voice- way too fast and not relaxing which I’m looking for and didn’t like voice in general
Could audible offer a choice of narrators - I just can’t listen to some people

Very funny
Those elbows. You always depend on Holly Martin for Laugh out loud funny moments and extolling the charms of small town life. It has serious themes of fear of loss and addresses them through conversation, like mature adults.

Sooooo many things wrong with this...
beginning with the narrator - absolutely painful to listen. As the story was equally as horrible, I will not be buying another book by this author.
