Summary
Treehouses twinkle under a blanket of stars, the sea sparkles through the leaves and true love is in the air. From the best-selling author of Sunlight over Crystal Sands comes this gorgeously romantic tale.
Indigo Bloom is on her way to beautiful Wishing Wood with some very big news. Two months ago, she shared an incredible night with the most amazing man. She didn’t think she’d ever see River Brookfield again, but she never imagined she’d be showing up out of the blue to tell him she’s pregnant with his child.
Indigo’s heart longs for a fairy-tale ending. There’s just one problem: River doesn’t remember who Indigo is....
Crushed that a night that meant so much to her was so forgettable for him, Indigo resolves to keep her identity and her pregnancy secret until she gets to know the real River. But as they spend more time together, it’s clear that the incredible connection they shared that first night is stronger than ever and that River might remember more than Indigo first thought.
The closer they get, Indigo’s secret becomes harder to share. Can Indigo find the courage to tell River the truth? And if she does, will she get the fairy-tale ending she’s been dreaming of?
Make all your dreams come true this summer with this feel-good love story that will sweep you off your feet. It’s the perfect listen for fans of Jill Mansell, Sarah Morgan and Sue Moorcroft.

Terrible narrator
Simple story but most annoying narrator. Almost gave up as her voice was very hard to listen to.

Mind numbing
I'm so glad I got this in the sale because it's absolutely dire. The narrators voice is awful, the story is beyond cringey. Honestly I love a good romance but this was so unbelievable. It may have been better with a different narrator.

A good holiday read
Loved the very basic story but a bit overdone with the fancy James like Heath and River the whole story was a bit of a fairy tale but I was engaged and enjoyed the light reading. ?

The blossom tree of dreams
I loved this escapism story. It was full of love and tension but followed by making up. A gentle story. Happy ending or beginning?

Sweet story but narrator lets it down
The story is nice. But, like other reviewers mention, the narrator’s voice is baby like. I find the pronunciation of trees as twees jarring and saccharine. The unfortunate part is this story is set in a woodland park of tree houses with a narrator constantly calling them “twee” houses. 😂 I think Penny Andrews just has to tweak (see what I did there) things a bit more to deliver the story with an adult voice. I think she could be a really good narrator if she does this.

Insipid
I love a romance as much as the next person but this was just cringey. The narrators baby voice was incredibly annoying. Disappointed.

Lovely happy know-what-you’re-getting light escapism
I discovered Holly Martin through my very limited library’s collection of audiobooks and was flabbergasted that an adult could really speak with such a childish voice, however, as it was free and personal circumstances mean I whip through audiobooks often within 24 hours I stayed with it.
Once I’d given up my judgmentalism around this, to my critical mind, extraordinary voice of the narrator, I let the happily predictable, nicely-drawn characters and story propel along and enjoyed it for what it was.
I’ve since bought Holly Martin’s books when they’re on special offer and never been disappointed, despite it always taking a little time to settle to any niggles around the narrator.
I’d love to know what Martin’s books sound like with a different narrator, however Penny Andrews does not inject overacting into her reading like two other over-saccharine narrators I sadly have to avoid despite loving the authors.
Martin’s characters are always on a quest for love, there’s an enjoyable cast, and a happy ending guaranteed. Little jeopardy but enough of a plot to merrily trip along and simply indulge in the sweetness and happiness of some escapism. This was an enjoyable listen and the setting of magical tree-houses charming.
