Summary
The Hidden Messages in Water is an eye-opening theory about water's deep connection to people's individual and collective consciousness. Drawing from his own discoveries, scientific researcher, healer, and popular lecturer Dr. Masaru Emoto describes the ability of water to absorb, hold, and even retransmit human feelings and emotions. Using high-speed photography, he found that crystals formed in ice reveal changes when specific, concentrated thoughts are directed toward it.
Music, visual images, words written on paper, and photographs also have an impact on the crystal structure. Emoto theorizes that since water has the ability to receive a wide range of frequencies, it can also reflect the universe in this manner. He found that water from clear springs and water exposed to loving words shows brilliant, complex, and colorful snowflake patterns, while polluted water and water exposed to negative thoughts forms incomplete, asymmetrical patterns with dull colors. Emoto believes that since people are 70 percent water, and the earth's surface is 70 percent water, we can heal our planet and ourselves by consciously expressing love and goodwill.

It made me think
Would you listen to The Hidden Messages in Water again? Why?
This book in audio form made me purchase the hard cover book with the illustrations. The stories are almost unbelievable. The ideas forged in my brain, have me concerned for what we are doing to our planet, our streams, rivers, lakes, and to our bodies. I found it scary, spiritual, and beyond what we think, believe, or understand about water, prayer, energy, and the connections we share as creatures with water...
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Hidden Messages in Water?
Cloud bursting, prayer to clear water, and the images of what amazing changes happened to water before and after....and thinking that we are 70% water as is the planet - what can that powerful force do inside us to heal and change our bodies and what is the connection between the two elements?
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book has changed me and what I think about water; what is in my water, what are the chemicals we are dumping into our drains that are contaminating our rivers, streams, bays, and oceans. Why we are not worried about it? Its sad what we are doing and we need to change - Test your water - do you know what is really in it and what its doing to you on the outside as well as the inside? Its a crime! In many ways this book made me cry - we are destroying our planet by killing the water....

I love this book. It's a MUST READ and must tell all your friends to read. I say don't fracture my snowflakes if someone is mean now. My whole family practices what this book teaches now. We never fracture each others cells anymore. GOOD things will happen to you if you read and take this knowledge and use it.

Hidden Messages in Water
What made the experience of listening to The Hidden Messages in Water the most enjoyable?
I was familiar w/ Emoto's work but listening to his findings permeated --like water! The profound effect it has on our bodies and our lives is tremendous. The greater my awareness of it's effects, the more far-reaching.
If you’ve listened to books by Masaru Emoto before, how does this one compare?
I've only read Emoto's other books but I look forward to listening to more.

Interesting concepts but a little crazy...
The performance quality was fine, and the possibility of water forming crystals due to human consciousness is interesting, but boy does this guy seem to jump off the deep end at the end of the story, offering a wild theory about the cosmos. This is an example of taking the conclusions of research to any extreme. But still quite breakthrough in understanding the universe? I don't know, it was a mixed bag and a rollercoaster for me.
