I've got dating horror stories that would curl your toes and singe your nose hairs, but none of them compare to the toad who started it all: Ellis Walker. He was the boy next door, the charming, infuriatingly gorgeous one who broke my heart and disappeared without a trace. Now, he's back and determined to throw my life into chaos, dredging up painful memories just when things were getting good. But the thing is there are always two sides to every story.

He calls himself Spider. I just knew him as the sinfully gorgeous guy with eyes of fire that fate sat next to me on the airplane. I didn’t know who he really was...British rock star...my stepbrother. He kissed me because he thought we’d never see each other again. We would. Everyone warned me about him. They told me he was ruthless and cold and screwed up. They said he’d leave me with a hole in my heart. Maybe I should have listened. Maybe I should have built up a fortress to keep him out. But I crumbled instead.

Summary
British. Charming. Virgin.
Reed Windsor doesn't do relationships. Though he could charm the pants off any girl he wants, he's not interested. He's always been too captivated by a special someone from his past to get serious with anyone else. Sure, she has no clue he exists, but he's willing to bide his time and convince her he's worth a shot.
Sassy. Beautiful. Way out of his league.
Charlie Oded is full of baggage - being left at the altar will do that to a woman. Having zero time for distractions, she's not looking for...well, anything. She needs time to heal her heart, not another guy to string her along. Which is why when she meets the alluring Reed, she's determined to keep things friendly.
But he makes her heart race and she makes him want to settle down. And neither of them wants to walk away.
Reed's never wanted a relationship, but Charlie's changed the game, and he's willing to play if she is.

Sweet and romantic...
Charley Oded was left at the altar. The heartbreak, pain and humiliation of that moment has led Charley to give up on love and to start a very successful business with her best friend and business partner. The next step is to return to college to finish her bachelor degree in business. Reed Windsor is British, charming and a senior at the same college. Unbeknownst to Charley, Reed was her neighbour when they were children. Despite the age difference (she is the older of the two) he has always been fascinated and half in love with the girl behind the red door ( the colour of her childhood home door). This story is their chance at love and healing.
I thoroughly enjoyed the sweetness of this story. Reed is beyond charming and a little hard not to like and Charley deserves that. However, if the story were that simple, it wouldn't have been half as interesting. Throw in Charley's ex, a fascinating group of friends, drama in the theatre and out of it, and Charley's very own secret admirer. There are plenty of opportunities for things to go wrong and these two lovers need to work hard to ensure their HEA.

Such a lovely story
I liked this lovely romance. Both Charlie and Reed were loveable life-like characters. I liked Reed's maturity and Charlie's drive and sweet nature. The supporting characters were also well crafted and likeable. I liked the arc of the story the way the relationship evolved. The story was really enjoyable.
I loved the narration by Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell. They both did a fantastic job. This audio was my first experience with Steve Campbell. I liked his voice, his pace and accent. I liked his different voices for the characters. Sarah Puckett is the thing in narration - she is one of my favorites. Her speech is always understandable and clear. It never feels artificial only natural.

Cute story
The Girl Behind the Red Door was an interesting mix of slow burn and moving quickly. The story was cute, though some of the relationship drama seemed out of proportion. Overall, I liked the story.
The narration was good, and I always appreciate having dual narrators for a story with dual points of view. I actually didn't like a lot of the male narrator's voices, but I did like that you could tell the people apart just by the voice.

Couldn't Stop Until It Was Finished❣❣
Cassie Graham has Won a Place on "My Favorite Female Author's List."😄 She wrote a brilliant novel with; "The Girl Behind the Red Door, " one I could find myself listening to again.
Cassie's writing is very descriptive and colorful, that you can close your eyes and see it play out in your head. I never grew bored, nor did I wish for it to hurry up to end.
Sarah Puckett is one of my all-time favorite female narrators but this was my 1st-time hearing Steve Campbell narrate, and the two of them together was POWERFUL and ELECTRIFYING. They had chemistry, and it was evident throughout the chapters, each time they were brought together.
This novel is definitely one worth listening to so, I highly recommend it to others. I give it my 👍👍up and 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐s

Lovely light and sweet story, great narration
Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell do a great job narrating this story.
I really enjoyed this story and the characters within it. It's on the sweeter, lighter side yet still has some steam. I liked the set up of where they were and what was going on around them. There were a couple of little twists which worked well, and the larger twist was really good. I could happily have stayed longer with this group of characters. I'd love to know what happens to them next, especially seeing as where the book ended.

Wonderful, truly romantic book
I really enjoyed this book for so many reasons. This is a slow burn romance. Reed is a sweetheart- someone who doesn’t have time to search for the “one” but maybe it’s because he hasn’t met the right one to make the effort. He may be on the list of favorite book bfs because he's so sweet and happy, with an infectious charm that he shows to everyone. So, though romance wasn't on the table, he was set up as a great person. But then he meets Charlie and romantic love now becomes a priority. I loved how their friendship built and then love came from there. This slow burn made sense given that she had been left at the alter and she was really scared about being hurt again.
I loved the notes that Charlie received; they were so heartwarming and it's this kind of heart that was another aspect of the book i loved. I also loved the cast of characters. Reed's friends and family (his mother is a hoot), her friends- all of them were the kind of people I wish I could meet and befriend in real life.
The narrators brought the story to life. They were great narrators with fitting voices voices. Steve Campbell had a lovely voice and his English accent was wonderful to listen to but he did a great job dropping the accent as well. Sarah’s so talented although I wasn’t sure her English accent was that realistic but she did such a fine job with pacing and emotion, that's ok :o)

Honey Dripping Sweet With Waffles & Whipped Cream!
The Girl Behind The Red Door is a whimsical, and witty listen with a enchanting prologue. A serendipity romantic comedy that reveals Charlie & Reed have a much older, deeper connection that began when they were children when Reed's family spent their summers across the road from the girl behind the red door. For Reed Windsor, Charlie is "The girl of his dreams". Reed's character comes with a bit of mystery. With unexpected twists brewed with supporting character's that play a intricate role as well as they mesh together. Chemistry between these characters is visible. The Supernatural references in this real life fairytale romance were joyous. A sweet piquant tale involving waffles and whipped cream.
Narrator Steve Campbell's british accent is deep, clear-cut and smooth. I love British accents and it was a fruition to listen to.
Sarah Puckett narrates this beautiful tale in a way that brings the character's and narative to reality. Together, these narrators complement each other & the tone and pace flows through smoothly.

Tell me something real...
Reed had always admired her from afar, but he knew he’d never have a chance.
Charlie had her heart broken. Now she would make it on her own, without taking the chance of getting hurt again.
When their paths cross, well, some things are just meant to be...
Cassie Graham has written a heart warming story. When you add two marvelous narrators, Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell, you get a real treat. I highly recommend this book!

Tell me something real!
This book caught me off guard. I didn't know what I was expecting, but once I began listening, I just could not stop. Cassie Graham had me caught up in the lives of Reed and Charlie. Charlie Odet is a woman who has been hurt. Left at the alter, she has used her situation to launch a successful jewelry business. She goes back to school to complete her education and becomes wrapped up in senior, Reed Windsor. What a man, he remembers Charlie from his childhood and has had a crush on her forever. Now is his chance to really get to know her and their relationship slowly builds. This story of love, flirtation, second chances and all around good feelings will make you believe there is someone out there for you. There are definitely a few surprises, but the warmth and feelings this story evokes kept me enraptured til the very end. I loved it and will look for more by Graham.
Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell nail this narration. Puckett has her emotional voice for this one, as we get to know and live through Charlie's struggles. I love that she can give the feels of uncertainty as well as the warmth of love in her inflections. Campbell is new to me, and I fell in love with his voice. His English accent along with his intonation and cadence sucked me in and had me in love with Reed from the first meeting. The two together are magic.

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. This is one of those books that gives you all of the warm fuzzy feelings. The plot and character development will instantly grab your attention and hold it throughout the story. This is a love story that is emotional, heartwarming and heartbreaking, uplifting, and funny. There will be several laugh out loud moments. You immediately cheer Charlie and Reed on. Both of these characters are strong and driven. Neither are looking for love but fate brings them together. Charlie was deeply torn apart when she was left at the altar, while Reed has always yearned to be with the girl from his childhood vacations that lived across the street. They have a great support system of family and friends.
Steve Campbell and Sarah Puckett are a powerful team of narrators. They give these characters distinctive voices and bring out the personalities and emotions of these characters. This brings them to life and makes you feel part of this story. I HIGHLY recommend this Audible book. It will allow you to relax and forget about the world's problems.

4.5 Stars♥️
If your looking for a great love story with a HEA, then this is a great book for you. There’s lots of passion with little sex scenes. All the characters are great, even the one you want to hate. It’s both funny and sweet, with lots of waffles and whip cream;)
Narration was fabulous by both narrators! They both are captivating!

loved it
Ever since Charlie was left at the alter, she has her walls up and is not looking for another romance. Charlie and Reed were meant to be together, even though she's older than him. Their connection is electric. They both are fun, witty together. Their friends bring additional fun to this story. It was, funny, and heartbreaking at times.
Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell bring this story to life! Giving all the characters their own personality an voices.
