Summary
Jolie Louis is a smart girl. She knows that her best friend, Sage Poirier, is a bad idea. He's a walking, talking cliché. The Adonis quarterback with the bulging biceps and harem of fangirls trailing behind him on campus like a stench you can't get rid of. Sadly, that's also the reason she can't stay away from him. Well, that and the fact that they're roommates.
Jolie is already straddling the line between friendship and more when Sage comes to her with an offer she cannot refuse: Be his fake girlfriend and live for free for the rest of the semester. She tells herself that she can handle it. He's just the boy she saved 10 years ago, right? Wrong. So very wrong. He is a man now, and she is his captive, heart, body, and soul....

A contemporary New Adult novella
This is a great novella. The characters are really well drawn, entertaining and likeable, and as with LJ Shen's other books, there's really good banter between the characters. This is a story of childhood friendship between Sage and Jolie, that grows into something more. I really enjoyed the narration in this audio, and found it was a perfect length story for me to listen to in one go (it's circa 3 hours).

Terrible
Hated it, sped it up just so I could get through the terrible storyline and cringeworthy scenes

Lovely story.
I love that two best friends realised their love for one another and had a happy ending. I am a little sad that from the first time they were together to the NYC party it was left out. it made the story feel somewhat rushed. enjoyed it regardless

Cringy storyline
Glad it was short because the themes were quite tacky. I wanted to hear more from the male actor.

Short but sweet
This was a short but sweet story. Not much substance to it and was quick paced but it was a good gap filler between 2 bigger books.

Sweet
This was a great novella! It’s amazing the amount of story you can pack into a novella, but this was great. Full of friendship, conflict, love and laughs. The bonus epilogue was perfection

A best friends to lovers romance
She fell in love with him at the age of ten. It took them years to get togther, and there were road blocks in the way. The story had romance, comedy and of course drama. The story and narration was good.

Cute novella!
This is a standalone steamy novella. It's about childhood friends who fall in love with each other and it just makes you feel all warm inside. The plus point is that it's narrated by Joe Arden and who can resist that?!
