Summary

Random House presents the audiobook edition of The Christmas Scorpion by Lee Child.

Jack Reacher likes to head south for the winter, to stay warm, so just before Christmas he arrives in a small town in Southern California. But the weather there is not warm and dry, as it’s supposed to be: he arrives in a freak blizzard.

Reacher finds refuge in a snowed-in roadhouse with four other strangers stranded by the storm. Two of them are British military police, separated by the weather from the VIP they are detailed to protect. Can Reacher help them find their guy, or will an undercover assassin find him first?

Reacher's Scooby Doo Ending!

Excellent, I don't normally spend the money on short stories but after reading the collection a while back I fancied a little bit of Reacher to tide me over until the next one. I'm actually glad I did!

This is classic Reacher, a Reacher being obstinate with authority conversation and some of his clever investigation with a suitably daft plot and a little bit of action all squeezed into a little over thirty minutes of Jeff Harding's excellent portrayal of Reacher and his fellow characters.

The ending really is all a bit Scooby Doo but why not? It is the Christmas Scorpion after all!

Something of a let down

Coming from a real Jack Reacher advocate, this is something of a let down. An implausible plot with an unbelievable ending - very disappointing.

Nice wee tale

I enjoyed this very short story. But then I'm a huge Reacher fan. Wanted more..

Great story, shame they rushed the ending

It could have done with an extra chapter, which kind of spoiled it. But it is a short story so I guess that's what you get. Can't wait for the next full book in the series.

Brilliant yet again!

Great story and Jeff Harding’s reading of all the books has been phenomenal! Thank you!
