Another good story

Really enjoyed as with other books in this series, ending a little bit abruptly I thought.

The Crow saga goes on

The last three books have seen the rise of Lydia, this one seems to be only a part story, finishes before you expect it to. Waiting for the next one 😀

Not sure what actually happened…

I’ve really enjoyed this series so far, and did enjoy listening to this book. When it finished I had to check there wasn’t an error because I don’t think there was any real storyline in this book? It felt like a prologue to the real story, like it was just warming up then over. A ploy to create the extra money from an 8th book and spread it out? A shame really. I will give number 8 a go because 1-6 were really good. But really hope for a better story and proper ending next time- or may conclude the storyline has run its course and leave it.

Great book

I enjoyed the book very much. The plot is gripping, characters likeable, and the narration superb. Cannot recommend enough.

Entertaining story

This seemed like the background story for a larger plot - which I suppose it is. Somehow I expected more - so now I’ll have to purchase the next book but slightly grudgingly!

Lydia's story continues...

I'm not a fan of cliff-hanger endings - I like a book to end with at least a temporary resolution, and I don't really feel that that happened here. But it takes the story on another chunk, I guess, and I hope that the 8th book will provide some answers. But this one did feel more like an instalment than a complete book.

I'll definitely be listening to the last one, though - I have enjoyed Crow Investigations, and there's a lot to like in both characters and plot. The narrator is good, too.
