Editor reviews

In The Bride Hunt what starts as a tenacious meeting of the minds results in inescapable physical passion. Prudence is the bright middle sister of the Duncan family and the brains behind the sisters' matchmaking operation. When their newspaper, The Mayfair Lady, is taken to court, the sisters must find a way to fight back. Prudence hires a vigorous and aggressive lawyer, Sir Gideon Malvern, to help win the case, and in exchange for his services, she promises Gideon a wife. Angele Masters' sensuous voice complements the irresistible nature of this story. The listener will be enchanted and absorbed.

Summary

In Jane Feather’s dazzling, irresistible romance, London’s most charming matchmakers are faced with a ruinous lawsuit - and now Prudence, the brainy, beautiful middle sister, must save them. Soon after the Duncan sisters’ personals service turns a profit, their controversial newspaper, "The Mayfair Lady," offends a powerful earl - who is now determined to demolish them in court. In dire need of counsel, the women turn to England’s most sought after young barrister. Sir Gideon Malvern is notorious for his aggressive style - and his love of a challenge. Spirited Prudence, with her beauty unsuccessfully hidden behind spectacles and frumpy clothes, provides him with exactly that. But how in the world will the Duncan sisters be able to afford Gideon’s fee? Prudence proposes a barter: Gideon defends their case; they find him a bride. It’s an exchange of services that even this most cynical single barrister cannot refuse.

Praise for the Duncan Sisters series

The Bride Hunt is the second in the Jane Feather’s Duncan Sister’s trilogy. I loved the book and I love the series. The Characters are developed extremely well and are all lovable, especially the sisters. But, even the secondary characters are developed extremely well and they are wonderful too! The books have a great story in each book and they are interesting, unusual fare, and fun. They are not however, fluff. I liked book two better the book one. There is no way I’m missing book three which I have queued as I write. The narration by Angele Masters is outstanding. I’m very surprised that I have not heard here before as I’ve listened to audiobooks for years! Truthfully, I don’t think that I’ve done the series justice in my review. If you try the books, start with the first in the series and know that each one gets better! You won’t regret it.
