overall brilliant with a disappointing twist
this is, overall, a fantastic book, well narrated and wirh a great plot.
it's let down, however, but a character twist that isn't really telegraphed at all and feels like it was used purely because they were the only other named character around. it felt a bit derailing, out of left field and disatisfying. i kept waiting for a surprise reveal but sadly the death felt... undeserved and unearned.
that bit needed a bit more development; some more hints rather than an after action "oh it turns out that..."
beyond that the book is brilliant and detailed - the other characters continue to impress; the world building is fantastic and we're seeing the grand showdown being set up between the academy and the empire.

Great second Book
This series is amazing to me, it's not just "the mc is weak....oh wait he is op now" ....OK he is kinda op, but he is struggling with his powers and the whole situation he is in. I really like it. And I LOVE the harem girls, they can be so funny sometimes.
Definitely recommanding this one.

interesting
Really loving how the storyline is progressing and the narration is amazing. I feel like this vook didn't really progress the series is the forward direction and seemed more like a side-mission thing, but still the story was very interesting.

An epic journey!
At my request I received a copy of this audiobook in order to give a fair and unbiased review.
Genre: Isekai harem where MC is transported to a wizard school with houses
Power dynamics in harem: The MC is in charge, the girls are fully dedicated to him.
Explicit/adult material: Explicit. Well written.
Summary:
Levi and his girls as well of some other class mates are going on the maiden voyage of the airship Venture. But not everything is at it seems and what should be a simple trip turns into an epic adventure.
Narrators
Voice diversity: Good- Characters have their own easily followed voices.
Pacing and intonation: Pacing and intonation supports the writing perfectly and emerges you completely in the story.
Sex scenes: Well done.
Jonathan Waters and Katana Jones are expert narrators and it shows.
Overall: 5 / 5 stars.
The book’s strengths.
- I love that the series continued with going deeper into the personalities of the girls
- Deeper relationships with the pets and a better understanding of them
- I liked the break from the school setting and the travelling vibe
- The narration
The book’s weaknesses.
- Nothing comes to mind. It was a great book.
Overall: 5/5 stars
The author build on the series strengths and it keeps getting better and better. I can't wait to listen to the next in the series!

Love this series
Great narration like before, though I wish Katana Jones did the majority of the narration.
This story feels more like a a side-story diversion, but still good.

Another great storyline
The story continues and it gets better. The author continues to build up the characters and expand the universe. The females continue to expand to become more like real characters. The main character keeps getting better.
What makes it is the snarky comments and the back and forth between the characters.

keeps getting better
I usually stear clear of steam punk and school settings but this series blends the two well. add magic into the mix and you have a real winner. the mc is likable and funny. I really love the bits of pop culture sprinkled in. both the narrators are awesome but katana Jones is a goddess.

Better than the first.
After three books the story has finally started to develope character and rely (marginally) less on pop culture references and trope-centric characters.
It's still junk food for the brain. Give it a miss until you have nothing better to do on a Sunday afternoon.

The story contines
Levi (I still hate this name...) and his friends join the airship flight, hoping for things to calm down.
But ofc things are never easy. Assassination attempts and assaults will keep them busy fighting for their lives.
Contains violence and steamy romance scenes.
Good dual narration from Jonathan and Katana

Too Much Disbelief Was Suspended to Fully Enjoy.
The MC and his loved ones take an air cruise (test flight) on their crafted airship to tour the realm. What was supposed to be break from the madness that happened at school, turns into a something even crazier that almost made it too difficult to suspend disbelief in order to enjoy.
Book 3 offers a lot more action as opposed to book 2. It would have felt refreshing if it wasn't painfully obvious that everything was a set up for the climax of the story. As reader you can only see the MC and his companions thrown into so many "this doesn't normally happen" scenarios before you start getting frustrated that these college students and professors don't realize something is going on until it's way, way too late. While the idea of a field trip was interesting, the story became painfully landlocked (airlocked) towards a linear story path, where any obvious deviation that could be taken from said path is quickly disregarded cause "reasons".
The characters were still quirky and fun. Of course, there is also the spiciness that was...nice. Unfortunately, the overall plot left a bitter aftertaste to even the best of moments. The dual-narrators really stepped things up in this audiobook as well and did a very good job.

Sexy fun
I loved book 1 of this series, it was using the normal academy trope which I personally enjoy it done right, and it definitely did it well. Book two was my least favorite of the series so far, but it wasn't bad. But this book blew me away with how entertaining it was, 10 hours flew by and now I'm impatiently waiting for book 4. If you like MCs that aren't total pushovers that are smart, but not to the point of being a know it all and making conflicts trivial, while also not having the often cringe personality harem authors tend to make their MCs then you'll love Levi. Also side note, the sex scenes are actually pretty kinky, for a lot harem authors I wish they'd just use fade to black because the scenes are usually all the same boring vanilla sex I've heard over and over, but Deacon Frost actually pushes the boundaries so I'm not falling asleep with the sexy time scenes. All in all, this series has been a blast to listen to. Keep it up!

an amazing sequel for the series
I'm new to this author's work. This is the first series of his that I have listened to. He hinted at the end of the last book that he writes under another pen name, but I don't know it. This story seems to be based on elements of a certain other series that shall not be named. I enjoyed it when I was younger and I'm glad to see that it has had an influence on other writers who have picked up the torch and made something completely new with it. That being said when you add in a dragon hero who honestly, I picture like this image of a dragon I saw Once Upon a Time. Blue with thick horned Rim glasses sitting up on a stack of books only in this case I imagine it as our hero in a draconic humanoid form. For this book specifically we've got an adventure on an airship. Seriously it was something that I was really psyched about when it entered the world this story is told in. Book four is not out yet, but I can’t wait. This narration team is relatively new to me, but I absolutely love their performance and I can't wait for the next outing. Katana Jones is now in my top 5 all-time favorite narrators. Really and truly well done to everybody who's had a hand in bringing this book and story to us, the audiobook listeners and keep up the good work.
