Summary

Jace Blackbriar just wants to become a blacksmith and live a comfortable life in his village. His family never wanted him to become an adventurer...and he isn't going to break that promise.

Jace wants to learn to make goods that pay well so that he can support himself, and maybe even send some money to his family. His goal is to gain the blacksmith class and start his own forge. But then, one of the other apprentices decides he needs to be taught a lesson.

When a rare and valuable magic item is destroyed, Jace is left with a racial transformation and cast into the wilds without guidance. Now, he has to figure out how to survive in a kill-or-be-killed world as a monster race that most goodly folk will want dead.

Accidental Incubus contains explicit elements and some adult content.

Really good book

A story that takes place in an lit/RPG world where status sheets, classes and races are all well established. The story revolves around our hero, a blacksmiths apprentice who gets transformed into an incubus named Jace Blackbriar.

I did particularly like this book as it hit the ground running and left the boring life of a blacksmith behind pretty quickly and seldom looked back. The story was solid and had a good direction and flow, the sex scenes were not fade to black but unlike other stories they were not forced or just put there as a place holder.

I also found the premise of an incubus pretty compelling, true to lit/RPG format there are lots of stats but the quests that relate to the incubus class revolve around seduction, temptation and corruption. Jace gets numerous quests to tempt others into corrupt actions ie pushing individuals towards darker actions. I hope this is further explored in book 2.

This is a really good book, I will definitely be purchasing book 2.
