About this listen
*This romance novel contains explicit content and is not advised for listeners under 18*
Inspired by a true story.
People are brought into our lives for many reasons. Over time, we find out who is meant to be a temporary acquaintance and who will be there for a lifetime.
Easton Crawford put his modeling career before his marriage until it was ending in divorce. Years later, he is finally learning how to be the father his daughter needs him to be. He's not looking for someone to step into the mother role - just nightly casual hook-ups.
When his best friend convinces him that a good way to meet single women is to go on a singles cruise, he finds more than just a one-night stand.
At age 13, Brooke Bradley became an adult, raising her younger sister while her mother continually ignored her parenting responsibilities. Since then, Brooke has continued to take care of the people in her life, including her deadbeat boyfriend, Jared.
For Brooke's 30th birthday, her best friend surprises her with a cruise but fails to mention it's a singles cruise. When Brooke meets Easton, the one man willing to be her constant, will she finally find the courage to leave Jared?
Easton knows that Brooke is someone who is meant to be in his life forever, but when a health scare threatens to change everything, Brooke and Easton are faced with unanswered questions and unspoken fears. Are Brooke and Easton only meant to be temporary acquaintances or are they brought into each other lives for a lifetime?

Loved it
This story is very well narrated with the dual narrators! I absolutely loved listening to them and having the story come to life in my head. It has its steamy moments, but also moments when you want to cry. You will want to start book two shortly after finishing one, but this story does not have a cliffhanger.

The premise is good.
3.5 Stars. The story is good. The writing is a skeleton of which could be an amazing book. But it reads and listens like a friend complaining about her life; in an over the top manner. So, it is real. I find the medical pieces offensive; clearly the author or character lacks basic understanding of the medical field, yet judges them harshly. With refinement, this would be great. The story would be a worthwhile hallmark romance movie. 🎧 AudiobookObsession

Easton and Brooke!
Easton married his high school sweetheart however he wasn’t ready for marriage and was a terrible husband. Just when the divorce was about to become final his wife tragically passed away and he finds himself a single father to their five year old daughter Cheyenne who is the light of his life. Five years later he is still a playboy but he now owns a bar with his best friend Avery and they decide to go on a single’s cruise which is where he meets Brooke.
When Brooke’s irresponsible mother was more interested in her latest man rather than Brooke or her sister she was the one who raised her sister. She has been involved in a relationship with her boyfriend Jared however she is the one who supports them. When her best friend Nicole wants to go on a single’s cruise she convinces and pays for Brooke to come with her.
When Nicole and Avery become close Brooke and Easton start spending time together as well. Brooke was determined to be faithful to her boyfriend but that doesn’t stop her attraction to Easton. For the first time in his life Easton wants to spend more than one night with a woman and that woman is Brooke. When Brooke returns home and her world is turned upside down in more ways than one will Easton be able to convince Brooke that his playboy days are behind him and he can be trusted to be by her side through the good and the bad?
This is an emotional story about love, family and relationships. With the way the book began I wasn’t sure if Easton could redeem himself but over the course of the story he showed the man he truly is. 🎧AudiobookObsession

lovely story to listen to
This was the first book by Kimberly Knight and it was a sweet and easy to listen to story. With the premise of the story and how it started I wasn't sure I would like Easton but I did.
Listening to this story on Audible enhanced my enjoyment of this tale. It was well narrated and the voices really sold the tale, drawing you in and holding your attention whilst you listen. They really brought all the emotions to life and you felt it all along with the characters.
Kimberly Knight did well with this story. She gave us characters that we become invested in with Brooke and Easton as the main characters but also Nicole and Avery as secondary characters. Your heart will also be stolen by Easton's daughter Cheyenne.
I am looking forward to seeing what happens next in the this tale

Good book about redemption
This was a good book in general although I didn't initially like the male character. Easton started out as a jerk. I’m not a fan of cheaters for ANY reason and I knew that he would have to do a lot in order to actually redeem himself. Brooke, at 30, seemed a little immature- she was in love with her boyfriend but he didn’t want to commit. They both sign up for a singles cruise and meet each other during this vacation. They fell in love during the cruise (although thankfully, her behavior was overall above board). Then tragedy struck her.
During this time, Easton redeemed himself, showing that he not only felt sorrow and regret with his past but also loyalty and honor. I have to say, the book would have been better if the author didn’t continuously reinforce to the readers how poor his behavior was when he was younger; the readers are continuously reminded about how promiscuous Easton was. I think a mention or two would have been fine but there was too much, perhaps to showcase how much he has grown. Overall, though, by the end of the book, the author did an admirable job redeeming him.
By the end of the book, I was rooting for both characters. This was a good book only improved by the narrators and dual narration that made this feel more real. Josh Logan was very good with voices. Eva Eastman had less variance with her voices so sometimes it was difficult to figure out who was speaking. I loved that there was a dual narration, where the male and female narrator read scenes together.

Great story
Really enjoyed this story. New author for me and I loved her writing style and characters. I thought that Easton was going to be a jerk but he turned out to be such a sweetheart. Brooke is such a strong and independent woman, always putting others before herself. I loved how they just kind of clicked when they met and how their relationship developed.
The narrators did a good job with bringing these characters to life.

Singles cruse anyone
This a cute Romance. Two bar owners from New York take a singles cruse. On that adventure they end up finding two best friends. One is dating another loser at home while the other is looking for the one. When they get back home will the two relationships workout or will they move on? I live this story and Kimberly Knights did an amazing job. I loved the dual narration as-well.

Tattooed Dots - Halo Series
This was my first book by Kimberly Knight. The storyline was great, and I loved the best friends meeting best friends aspect. I did feel like the parts that were probably meant to be dramatic or the big road bumps in the book were a bit bland. it felt like mostly smooth sailing even when it shouldn't have been. That being said, It's the perfect book to come back and re-read when you've read something overly emotional or action packed and need a getaway.
The audio performance by Josh Logan and Eva Eastman was very well done. I will be looking for their other narrations in the future.
Brooke has just turned 30 and her best friend Nicole gives her a trip on a singles cruise as a birthday present. The only problem with that is Brooke has a boyfriend but she decides the trip will be fun regardless. Easton is a single dad, has been raising his daughter alone for the last 5 years after his ex was killed in a car accident. Eastons best friend & business partner Avery decides that it's time for them both to get a break from their bar and possibly meet "the one" on a singles cruise. Within an hour of being on the cruise Easton runs into Brooke who introduces Nicole to Avery. That is how they spend the rest of the time on the cruise but roadblocks come up because of Brooke current-almost ex boyfriends, the disadvantage of having a long distance relationship, and health problems that arise.
