Summary
From New York Times best-selling author Kristen Ashley comes the new book in her River Rain series, Taking the Leap.
Alexandra Sharp has been crushing on her coworker John “Rix” Hendrix for years. He’s her perfect man, she knows it.
She’s just not his perfect woman, and she knows that, too.
Then Rix gives Alex a hint that maybe there’s a spark between them, that if she takes the leap, she might be able to fan into a flame. This leads to a crash and burn, and that’s all shy Alex needs to catch the hint never to take the risk again.
However, with undeniable timing, Rix’s ex, who broke his heart, and Alex’s family, who spent her lifetime breaking hers, rear their heads, gearing up to offer more drama. With the help of some matchmaking friends, Rix and Alex decide to face the onslaught together....
As a fake couple.

Who's Next Chloe?
I very much enjoyed this book. The knot in the middle, where I was a little unsure where or what was happening with the male lead, was a little heart rolling. loved this journey with what i feel was a full complete finish.

Loving this series
It’s difficult to find a KA book I don’t enjoy and I am loving this series. Having a main character with a physical disability and the trauma that came with it could have been a challenge and turn the story dark but KA managed to capture the emotional, psychological and physical struggles in a story that was still enjoyable and relatively light. Loved the couple and their romance. Missed Correy but I guess he had no place here. With every book there are more and more people I want to see happy, so there may be about 1000 books by the end of the series. Great performance from both narrators. The only way to improve this is if it was a dual narration.

It wasn't horrible.. but!
Ok, maybe I'm expecting too much from Ms. Ashley but this book was just ok for me! Had I read this series before all my favorites by this author (the Burg, Colorado Mountain, Chaos etc) I might but have found it more appealing. However, compared to those, really good, well written books with great storylines and well developed characters this book and the others in the River Rain series just seem run of the mill to me! It seems like I've read these characters and this same plot in so many other romance novels! I much prefer when Ms. Ashley writes about older characters who have more life experience..she writes them so well! The day this book dropped into my kindle I had just finished listening to Sweet Dreams for about the fifth time...love the Colorado Mountain series...then opening and listening to this latest offering, well, big difference in both style and content, I was disappointed! Sorry Ms. Ashley, still love you for the books you've given us in the past...but not this one!

Love KA - female narrator awful
This will be the first review I’ve written after purchasing over 1,000 books. I love KA and often re-listen to her books but won’t be doing that with this one. I almost stopped listening after the first chapter. Story is good but the female narrator is dreadful! Rix’s voice is cringe worthy and goofy. Why in the world hire a female narrator that can not perform male voices for a romance! The series is a good one and I’ll purchase the next unless it’s this narrator.

Where's Stella Bloom et al
Love KA and her River Rain series but was seriously disappointed in these new narrators. There opposite gender voices were terrible and the same gender barely tolerable. Everyone sounded like a wimp or a cartoon character.

Love this series
Love all of it except the narrators. Male is too nasal and the female does this over-pronunciation of the letter T that is really annoying. I think she was attempting an upper crust thing but it failed.

Narration
Great story. Sadly, the female performer has an odd pronunciation quirk that kept distracting me from the story.

Huge KA fan but these narrators aren’t it!
This is the first review I have ever written after hundreds of book downloads, over many years. I’m compelled because this is the first time narration attempts to ruin a book.

Language
The F word definitely was overused. It got really old. Other than that, I enjoyed the story.

Love Kristen Ashley
I love K.A. ‘ s books. Just not all of them. Including this one and it’s predecessor. Maybe because I’m in my forties and this was like reading a teenagers book. I will continue to purchase her books. Sorry K. A. No hard feelings just not one of my favorites.

Loved it
Loved the pace of this, loved the chemistry, loved how their stories unfolded. Loved the interaction between friends. Just plain loved this awesome fake fiance genre interpretation all the way around.
