Terrible narration!

I have loved this series, really cleaver and different, and tbf this is a gud story, BUT ….. sorry but the narrator sounds like sum 1 just reading text! Very poor choice.

Unfortunately spoilt by the narrator

I stuck with this book because I wanted to see the series continue, but I am glad to see that the narrator changes again for the next book.
Unfortunately the narrator was obviously quite inexperienced and the inflection was often placed on the wrong part of sentences, or the wrong tone of voice used to express emotions. It’s a shame. Might be worth a re-record with a different narrator.
Apart from that Masterton’s skilful story telling keeps you gripped and wanting to carry on listening. It’s just a shame that he has a rather ‘soft porn’ view of how women act with other women.

Brilliant with the capital 'B'!

Any additional comments?

Oh yes...Brilliant with the capital 'B'! Yet again, Masterton has not fail me and love this series. I actually started with Book 3 then I searched for the ealier series of Katie Maguire Books. First book was on rituals, second was on 'naughty' priests & third on ritual & revenge. Really love the twist with this one with good ending too, I've been expecting from the earlier series something so not right with her 'acting' superior but not to this extend. I hope there's a Book 5 especially now that John is back. :D I envy this woman, Katie Maguire! She's strong willed, witty & damn sexy...she's a real Kick-Ass! And as for the narrator, I don't know what with all the fuss but Louise Fitzpatrick does bring the characters and scenes so clear, graphic and vivid in my head as good as Caroline Lennon did in another book of the the same series.

Sadly very poor narration

I liked the story itself, but unfortunately - and I feel bad saying it, as narrators no doubt read their reviews - the narration really let it down. It sounded like a schoolkid reading something out loud in class for the first time. Please quality check the narration, Audible.

A shame!

it is let down bt the narrator who only reads the book instead of performing it but it's made worse because the first 3 books were so well done. if you keep listening you do get into it and the story has some good bits that are crucial in the series and should not be missed. looking forward to the next one with another new narrator. such a shame they have not stuck with the original.

Great story poorly narrated

The previous books were narrated by Caroline Lennon who brought the story to life with different voices, unfortunately Louise just reads the story with no attempt to vary the character voices which results in a flat listen. The book is great and what I have come to expect from Graham

Great book less than great narrator

Not the best narrator, found her very flat and didn’t really “perform” the story very well for me. Almost gave up because of that but the storyline had me gripped so I kept on and glad that I did. Great book , will listen to more.

Worst Narration

I can't understand how the narrator managed to do such an awful job of this - I kept thinking "maybe this person has never heard anyone read out loud before?". Bizarre, and thoroughly distracting. The storyline is so good it's a real shame to be so badly read.
