About this listen
Adventure. It's what my boring life is missing, so when I fall through a portal into another world, I'm excited. Here, I'm important. Here, I'm special.
I find out just how special when I meet Death. He's been exiled to the mortal realm to work through his flaws, and he's just as spoiled and awful as you'd think. Rhagos, the Shadow Lord, is arrogant and rude and controlling and demands to get his way. He's selfish. He's impossible.
He's also utterly gorgeous. Magnetic. Lonely. And strangely protective of me.
Thanks to a magic bond, I now serve him as his anchor to the mortal realm. It means that I'm his conscience, his guide...and the target for any assassin or glory-seeker. After a few days of this, I'd rather go home than continue on this adventure.
As the world falls down around us and we're hunted simply for existing, I find myself wondering what it'd be like to serve the lonely god of death...in all ways. To kiss him. To touch him. To bed him.
Except...I'm supposed to be finding a way home, not trying to kiss Rhagos. No matter how tempting he is. No matter how much he stares at my lips. No matter how much I want it.
Contains mature themes.

Romances this long shouldn’t be this good
Probably just as good as the first, and different enough to be interesting. The MCs are likeable, the story has twists to keep you on your toes, and the steam is pretty hot once they get into it.
I really loved the narrator of the first audiobook, so it’s hard to give this one’s a better rating than 3 stars. I can’t help comparing how much more emotion (funny and dramatic) the other narrator put in.

brilliant story about undying love
well worth listening to Reminds me of movie meet joe black but much better! A very very lonely unloved isolated demigod has a plan to trick the fates into giving him what his heart desires most of all He’s willing to do anything to get what he wants until he meets a very board very optimistic short sighted young woman who will totally rock his world! and won’t take no for an answer

Deaths not such a bad guy.
No need to be scared to death when we depart this life we are going to meet a loved up happy God of death and his human wife Max.
Another heartfelt Epic story from Ruby Dixon I love these tales of the gods they are so imaginative and descriptive, you feel like you really get to know the characters because the longer length of the book allows for a slower reveal and a slow burn romantically. Really felt deaths loneliness and desperation and shed a tear towards the end of the book and that doesn't happen very often.
Just a request The Spieday are fascinating please can they have their own book....pretty please .

Ok
In a book club - I’m outnumbered regarding the type of book we read. This wasn’t bad, it entertained. Spent the first few chapters getting frustrated with the leading lady as she struggled to grasp simple things like not sleeping in dark alleyways in order to prevent a mugging. She isn’t over trusting, she just lacks common sense. Again, this writer has a thing about teeth clashing - there is NOTHING remotely alluring about teeth banging against someone else’s teeth. It’s in the top 5 things NOT to do when kissing. We all ended up have a debate about that and we all concluded that it probably happens in your mid teens due to inexperience. Anyone who does that in their adult years cannot snog to save their lives! The first book in this series has a lot of tooth clashing as well. Why?
The last 8 chapters felt a bit rushed.

so so, but bound to the battle god is super
The main story is good, but the main character max is sooo winey, i was gonna stop in half the book, but because i paid for it i continued to the end. i would not purchase it if you think its like the first book - Bound to the battle god. i have listened to it over over again and it is awesome!! always makes me laugh no Matter how many times i listen to it!

Not as enjoyable as all other Ruby Dixon books
The story itself was fine, although slow to warm up. My main problem was with the female character Max, she is so whiney and annoying i wanted to smack her. Most of the time she sounded like a pathetically whingey naive teenager.. Not a very likeable. I think I'll give the Gods series a miss if more are written. If i remember thinking much the of the first book... Very slow to get going, not like those super sexy messakah guys.

Long and boring
I usually like Ruby Dixon’s books but this story is boring. The main character is just keep repeating herself. The story is just brag so slow. For the first 20 chapters you can skip and you will still know what’s going on.
