Summary

There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who hear voices, and those who want to silence them.

Pilgrim is a man with a past he can't remember. When he wakes alone in a shallow grave, there is a voice in his head that doesn't belong to him. It explains who he is and what he's done. It tells him he has one purpose: to find a girl named Lacey.

As Pilgrim is drawn north to Missouri in search of Lacey, he must also travel back to where it all began - to those he left behind. War is coming, and Pilgrim is going to need all the allies he can get.

Survivors is the highly anticipated third instalment in the acclaimed Voices series, following the spectacular novels Defender and Hunted. Good and Evil are closer than ever before in a world where the voices in your head can save or slaughter you.

a brilliant penultimate book

this book progressed the story without actually progressing it (chronologically) were treated to a deep dive into the lore of the voices , and how the world came to be , the character development in this one is strong and were introduced to even more excellent new characters while reuniting with familiars .

loving this series so much and can't wait to check out the finale and see how it all ends

Compulsive reading

I have loved all of the books in The Voices series. I think this third instalment is my favourite so far. Todd has built a wholly believable & rather unique post apocalyptic world & a host of characters to become attached to & care about. It was great to have the return of characters from the previous two books & learn more about the way in which they fit into this richly imagined world. Compulsive reading that kept me listening avidly. Highly recommended!

This is turning it to a cracking series

Great 3rd volume, was worried at the end or the last book on how GXT was going to do this, but it turns out I didn't need to. I think I may have enjoyed this volume better than the last the filling in on pilgrims back story is well done. new characters have substance and not just shallow convenient hole fillers.

If you have not read Defender and hunted but enjoy stories like SK's The Stand you really should or dare I say must read this. In my humble opinion GXT descriptive way of writing is second only to Mr King.

My only question whens the next book out... when... when...
