Story
Princess Rowan thought she knew her place in the world. She never expected to feel like an outsider. She certainly never imagined she would fall in love, least of all with a man from a barbarian kingdom half a world away. But when series of missteps lands her in the hands of the people she was brought up to hate, she is forced to reconsider everything she thought she knew about both lands. And about herself. After a lifetime of animosity between the kingdoms, will the Socairans ever accept her as one of their own? Or will her mistakes push her people into yet another war?

Absolutely LOVED this
The story continues with more romance, more laughs, more action, more mystery! Lots of exciting things in this installment 😁💙🙌🏼 And yes there's another cliffhanger bc that's just how Robin and Elle do, but the series is complete so no wait 🥳
Again Olivia King is an incredible narrator and have loved everything by her!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I hated that a single glance from him could make me feel simultaneously like I could melt into a puddle and take on the entire world at the same time.

But I had finally come to understand that real life was seldom easy, and real love, even less so.

The most useless review.
Im not sure who would read a review for book 3. Honestly at this point if you liked the first book enough to listen to the second, you’re officially binging and won’t come up for air until the series is over. It’s that good. Its clean your whole house, do all the stalls, move as slowly as possible through life (oh im sorry did someone say something I can’t hear over my book), don’t come up for air until it’s done, binge worthy. No one will read this review. You’ve already got this book and probably have already listened. This is a useless review because the book is amazing and the narrator is amazing and the story is amazing and I’d like to make out with Logan still ok?!

At this point you need to keep reading!😁
Book 2 is where Charlie could no longer look at her world the way she had but saw it with all it's scars. This book is where she starts to take things into her own hands and make a difference. And just when we think we know what's going on Robin and Elle give us another twist and cliffhanger for the ending. The narrator has done a great job. It was fun and easy to listen to.

Young Adult, Cliffhanger
Summer's Rebellion
I’m reviewing the entire Lochlann Treaty series at once (no spoilers)
The reason for this is that I see the series as one story/ book.
The separate books don’t give a closed story or closed story arc. The first 3 all end in cliffhangers and continue in the next book.
I would recommend reading them all or none. Reading less than all 4 books will not be satisfying.
I hope the series will be bundled together for young adult fans!
The series has a strong young adult vibe. It’s in the writing, drama, romance and inner thoughts of the main character.
I wish books that are clearly targeted at young adults would be classified as such, so people like me who don’t care much for the genre can avoid them.
For me the series was missing something (believability, seriousness or humor?), and didn’t fully manage to keep me engaged. If I wasn’t reviewing this series, I probably wouldn’t have read past the first half of the first book.
But I want to be clear, that’s because I don’t enjoy the genre, not because I think this is a bad series.
If you do like the young adult genre, I think this will be a nice treat.
There is action, adventure, romance, great character development and excellent narration.
I liked the main characters and the underlying theme of friendship.
The series is written from the first person point of view of Charlotte, except for the last book where some chapters are also told from Logan’s point of view.
The narration fitted the series wonderfully.
Pacing, character distinction and conveying of emotions were all perfectly done.
I got this Audio Book for free (thanks!). I'm voluntarily leaving this review.
Opinions and ratings are my own and not influenced by how I got the Audio Book.

Perfect Continuation of an Amazing Series!
I think this book might just be my favorite in the series. I absolutely loved the continuation of Charlie’s story and seeing her grow, as well as some of the other characters.
It’s hard to talk about the third book in a series without spoiling things from the first two, but this book was fantastic! The tension builds as the fragile peace is rocked between the two kingdoms. Charlie and Oliver are trying to figure out how to move on from everything that has happened. Neither want to get married, but they know they need to in order to protect their people. Except, a secret is uncovered that could potentially set them both free.
Charlie and Logan continue growing closer, and I love them with my whole heart. There is a scene where he takes her to a tree in his mother’s village that is absolute perfection. I think I’ve read that part like five times now because it just makes me so happy inside that I keep going back to it.
The thieves make a return as well, and you know how much I love my secretly good bad guys. Fia is such a great character. I have so many questions about her and want more!
Overall, the book is wonderfully written. It is engaging and intense, but it still has those sweet and swoony moments. The character development is excellent, as is the world building. These authors have done an incredible job at creating this vivid world full of intricate histories, politics, secrets, and betrayal.
I’m writing this review late, as I’ve already read the fourth book, but know that this one does have a cliffhanger that will make you need to keep reading until you’ve devoured the entire series. Robin and Elle continue to amaze me. I will read literally anything they write at this point.
And the narrator? So perfect for this story! She brings the characters to life so well.

Yes! Finally
This 3rd book finally brings together several plot lines, more mature characters, and draws some lines in the sand for the battle to come in book 4. Although the antagonists have not been hard to spot during these early books, we now know fully the evil and their strengths. Much peril awaits our "good" friends but Charlie is ready to be a real Queen.

I love this series!
I loved reading this series when it first came out, it remains one of my All Time Favorites! I also really loved Summer's Rebellion, which I felt was one of the strongest and maybe my favorite books of the series, if not THE Best of the four! So it was no surprise that I loved listening to it on audio. But WOW! Olivia King blows this one out of the water! I loved hearing her narration of Summer's Rebellion, and am so excited to experience Autumn's Reign on audio!
Original Review for Ebook:
Argh, this series is so good! I was right, this series does just keep getting better! Like many of my favorite series, I devoured this book as it leads up to Autumn's Reign, and I'm both excited and nervous for the last book....The LAST book! Ahh! Highly recommend this series, it's so good, and now that they are all out, totally a binge-worthy read!

whaaaaaaat!!!!
first off let me say cliffhanger and I did not see that coming..
the story picks up right where it left off (if you read the second you know what happened).
Charlie is still at odds with her feelings for Logan. Not that she doesn't love him, even tho she's finally admitted it, but that she knows she can never have him, not and bring peace to the realm. So another adventure begins where Charlie's life is put on the line numerous times. She's agreed to go on the lamb with Logan on the advice from Ollie. At the time.it makes sense. them certain things happen and the ending -- why did he make that choice? what is his end game? Why do they want her dead? Why not Ollie? what is the secret going on? Who is the real Cillian here?
so many questions!! some of them get answered and some of them don't. I'm continuing on to the next book bc this is one of the best series I've read this year. between the fantastic job of the narrator and the story itself. It's magical to say the least...and besides I'm thinking there's more to the story anyway!!!
