Wow the start of this audiobook sets the scene of this second audiobook in the brutal birthright series. We get a look into how Miko’s alliance starts with the Polish mafia and see how he has a domineering protectiveness that influences his actions.

Nessa is shown to be a meek innocent when she is abducted but I loved her character so much and how she she seeks to see good in everyone. She turns out to not be so meek and she embraces her own feelings for Miko as she grows up while in captivity.

There’s so much to love about this book for anyone who loves enemies to lovers stories, mafia stories, alpha strong men with loving, protective hearts and then also Beauty and the Beast stories to boot.

Heartfelt romance ❤️🔥❤️

Beauty tames the beast….. the beast falls hard for beauty. This is a mafia romance with a beautiful ending. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

True love!

One of the daughters from mafia was abducted. Nessa is an innocent but not an idiot by all means. When Niko decides to take the princess from his enemy, all hell breaks lose. I like that it was not a fast romance but that there was a strong connection. The characters are very likeable and the story most believable. I enjoy this listen, great narration and story!

I love this series

This book is written so very well. The characters are brilliant. They have so much depth to them. Sophie has done a great job writing such a captivating book. Both Faith and Alan give great performances.

Mafia Love

Nessa and Miko's story is the Beauty and the Beast retold and the Griffin's little ballerina is pulled out of the protective bubble of her family. I love these books, and Faith Clark and Alan Carlson do a great job narrating and setting the tone for this love-hate story.

Stolen Heir

🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧

What I’ve found most interesting about this series so far is that the enemies vibe is definitely strong between the protagonists. The families cross paths in some very gruesome ways and the plots are very entertaining.

Miko was definitely a captivating hero. His tragic backstory strengthened his personality. His actions tested his values and ultimately our heroine, Nessa, brought him back into the light. Although I thought Nessa was quite passive in general, I enjoyed her little rebellions. She contrasted Miko in many ways but she seemed to complement him well where it counted.

Faith Clark and Alan Carlson did a fantastic job of bringing these characters to life. While I’m not a native speaker of Polish nor Russian, their accents sounded really good to my untrained ear. They had great transitions, clean diction, and a good pace for the speed at which I listen.

All in all a great addition to the series. Can’t wait to listen to more.

Miko and Nessa!

After a devastating loss Miko’s thirst for vengeance led him to become part of the Polish mafia. He has worked his way up through the ranks and even though he was not related to the top man Zajac by blood they were family in every sense of the word so when his life was taken the operation was passed down to Miko. He is determined to avenge Zajac's death and isn’t above using an innocent woman to ensure that happens.

Nessa was born and raised in the Irish mafia however she has never taken an active role and chose to follow her love of dancing. She is naive in the ways of the world so when she is abducted and help prisoner by Miko she is equal parts vulnerable and brave which intrigues Miko in spite of himself.

Not only are Miko and Nessa complete opposites but they find themselves on opposing sides as well. Their relationship may not have gotten off to the best start but there is nothing they won’t do for each other and together they are a force to reckoned with. Not only are Miko and Nessa compelling characters but there is a great cast of supporting characters as well. The narrators did a great job of bringing out the characters and the suspense of the story. 🎧The Flock
