Summary

They murdered my father, so I stole their daughter....

She’s my captive, my little ballerina who dances only for me.

Nessa is sweet and innocent. She doesn’t deserve any of this. But that’s how our world works. The wolves eat the lambs, no matter how gentle they may be.

I’ll use her to get my revenge. Unless I give in to my hunger first....

Stolen Heir is the dark and gothic second act of the Brutal Birthright series. It’s a stand-alone enemies to lovers romance, complete with HEA and no cliffhangers. It contains blazing hot bedroom scenes for mature listeners only!!!

Brutal birthright

Wow the start of this audiobook sets the scene of this second audiobook in the brutal birthright series. We get a look into how Miko’s alliance starts with the Polish mafia and see how he has a domineering protectiveness that influences his actions.

Nessa is shown to be a meek innocent when she is abducted but I loved her character so much and how she she seeks to see good in everyone. She turns out to not be so meek and she embraces her own feelings for Miko as she grows up while in captivity.

There’s so much to love about this book for anyone who loves enemies to lovers stories, mafia stories, alpha strong men with loving, protective hearts and then also Beauty and the Beast stories to boot.

WOW, 5-star Highly recommend

This is a story of the beauty and the beast. The beauty be Nessa, daughter of Irish Mob boss. She lives a sheltered life So to speak. Weak compared to her Siblings. Along comes Miko, head of the Polish Mob. He takes her for revenge. Little by little she thaws out "the Beast". Their story is Beauty and the Beast ..
This book had me hooked from the beginning.

Alan Carlson and Faith Clark were brand new narrators to my ears. They brought the characters to life. Amazing job and would listen to more of their works.

Enemies To Lovers Mafia Romance

Stolen Heir by Sophie Lark is an enemies to lovers mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Faith Clark and Alan Carlson. This is the second book in the Brutal Birthright series and each book can be read as a stand-alone.

This is the second book of Sophie’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the relationship between Miko and Nessa.

I can’t wait for the next book in the series Savage Lover to be released on audio so I can get Camille and Nero’s story.

Faith and Alan did a great job on the narration. I can’t wait to listen to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you love enemies to lovers, mafia romances, or romantic suspense.

Revenge leads to love

Mikko is out to avenge the man that semi raised him by taking revenge on the Gallo and Griffith families by taking the youngest Gallo daughter Nessa. Nessa has nothing to do with her family business she studies ballet and when she is taken she is a fish out of water. Slowly Mikko and Nessa start to care for one another but the problem remains that she was taken out of revenge for the death of his mentor. Will Mikko and Nessa budding relationship survive the Gsllo’s Griffith, Bratva and his own family. This book had lots of intrigued and reading the transformation of Nessa from naive to a strong character was amazing. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Good listen

I won’t lie…I really disliked Niko in the beginning. I also wasn’t a huge fan of Nessa. They both are a big part of why I didn’t like the other.

Nessa is so pure and innocent. Like how she grew up in the family she did and still ended up like so sheltered is beyond me. I am so used to stories where the FMC has a very strong backbone from the beginning and Nessa just doesn’t meet that.

And then there’s Niko and how horribly he treated Nessa. Like dude…it’s Nessa. She’s so sweet and good hearted. How can you act like that!

Needless to say I wasn’t a huge fan in the beginning BUT after the story went on and Nessa started coming into her own and becoming the women she’s meant to be and seeing Niko become a sweetheart and really show his emotions, I kinda fell in love with the book.

Faith & Alan both did great jobs narrating!

Mafia Love

Nessa and Miko's story is the Beauty and the Beast retold and the Griffin's little ballerina is pulled out of the protective bubble of her family. I love these books, and Faith Clark and Alan Carlson do a great job narrating and setting the tone for this love-hate story.

Amazing Second Story in this Series

Title: Stolen Heir
Author: Sophie Lark
Format: Audio
Narrators: Faith Clark , Alan Carlson
Genre: Romance, Suspense, Enemies-to-Lovers, Mafia, Kidnapping, Revenge, Virgin
Standalone: Yes
Part of a Series: Book 2 in the Brutal Birthright series
POV: Nessa and Miko
Steam Level: Slow burn to toasty
5/5

Stolen Heir is the second book in the Brutal Birthright series. If you haven't read the first book Brutal Princess then I highly recommend it. If only to fall in love with this series and the characters too. While the couple is new in Brutal Birthright this book follows the events from Brutal Princess - including why and how the Irish and Italians formed their alliance and the murder that sets off the events leading to this book.

Once I finished Stolen Heir I had to sit and let it digest. It's just as good as the first book. I love
the characters the action, the suspense and everything in between I loved the push and pull between Ness and Miko and how Nessa shows just how strong she is. Nessa is thought of as the weakest link but she shows her strength, surprising everyone. Sophie Lark creates strong heroines and I absolutely love this series. I cannot wait for the rest.

I received this audiobook for free from Pink Flamingo Productions. This is my honest and voluntary review.

So so good

Miko’s heart was shattered as a teen by a tragic loss which set him on the path for revenge His heart froze over and he experienced a rush of power knowing he didn’t care if he lived or died. That quality made him the perfect heir to inherit control of Chicago Polish Mafia from his father figure crime boss.Nessa has always known love and loyalty from her Irish mafia family but she’s felt out of place with them.A chance meeting a kidnapping and a seduction irrevocably changes both of them. I could not put this book down and stayed up until the middle of the night to finish listening to it.Nessa is so sweet and lost that you can’t help but to root for her to find exactly what will make her heart sing or in this case dance.Miko is deliciously bad and brutally sexy.Nessa and Miko’s interactions are so complicated with feelings that it’s hard to tell who is tempting who and if it’s a slow seduction or the inevitable collision of souls.Sophia Lark is a master at the bad boy/innocent girl romance. She finds the spark of humanity in the worst of men and with brilliance turns them into the hero worthy of sweeping the heroine off her feet and getting the happily ever after!the narrated did an outstanding job bringing the characters to life and did a wonderful job telling the story.

A dark gothic romance!

This was a standalone enemies to lovers, gothic dark romance.
I didn't know what to expect going into this one but was pleasantly surprised.
I always love rooting for the anti hero and seeing them get their own hea is so satisfying.
The narrators did a brilliant job.

Addicted to this series!! But hated the female narrator.

I’m loving this series and the character development is incredible. I truly didn’t know how Niko could come back from taking Nessa but whew he did. The man is dreamy.

My major gripe comes from the female narrator. She sounded like a child and her vocal inflections grated on my nerves. The trembling voice at the most odd times and the way her sentences would end in a question when context did not call for it? Maddening. The male narrator was fantastic but he, like the female narrator, was not good at mimicking the voice of Nessa.

Stolen Heir

This is book two in the Brutal Birthright series. This book is about Nessa the youngest daughter of the Irish Mafia and Miko the adopted heir of the Polish Mafia. Miko has lived through a rough past. His past is what made him into the new head of the Polish Mafia. This book is like a modern day retelling of the Beauty and the Beast. I loved this book so much! Alan Carlson and Faith Clark did and fantastic job narrating this book. They both did great with the Polish accent. Can't wait to see who the next book is about.

Stolen Heir - Nessa and Miko

I am not sure about this book. Compared to Aida and Callum’s story in Brutal Prince, this one was not nearly as good. The book was a little slow to progress. I was hoping it was as good as if not better than Brutal Prince. It was almost like Miko flipped a switch and then he was in love with her and tried to send her back to her family. Throughout the book, I did not find Miko likeable. I like how Nessa was able to teach herself Polish, Miko’s first language. He did not know she could understand it until she overhears him talking about killing her brother, Callum. There is a traitor in this book but I don’t think anyone will be surprised by who it is.

As far as the narrators, Faith Clark and Alan Carlson were very good except Faith gave Nessa a child-like voice that could be annoying at times.

OMG!! That Accent! 💜

I’m so addicted to this series and it gets better and better with each story.
Sophie Lark does an amazing job bringing all these characters together each having their own unique story. So romantic in a Stockholm sorta way lol. This story has angst, romance, suspense and camaraderie. I love all the characters.
Faith Clark was absolutely brilliant as Nessa. Her performance and voice fit her character perfectly.
Alan Carlson couldn’t be more sexy if he tried. His voice is absolutely amazing as the average hero but his accent was so sexy, I could listen to him all day. Well done everyone!
This is book 2 with an HEA and can be read as a standalone.
I highly recommend this book/series.

Tale As Old As Time

This Mafia version of Beauty and the Beast is a really fun listen, Nessa is young sweet and innocent. She's also the perfect pawn in Mykolas's plan for revenge. The story definitely ties into the first book but can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone. Who would have thought all it would take to crack through the growly exterior of a mysterious mafia boss was a ballerina?

I really enjoyed how the house was very nearly a character in the story. The housekeeper was also very sweet and in my mind is very much Mrs. Potts so I had to keep reminding myself that she is actually young and attractive lol. The romance development in an enemies to lovers is always fun to watch. I think my favorite part though is Harlow really grew into her own,. She brushed aside her naivete taught herself a valuable skill and threw herself into her passion to stay sane and strong.

The steam is a solid 3/5 with a really nice build up

The narration is easy to listen to. Faith Clark has a very sweet voice that plays Harlow so well. Alan is growly enough to be this Beast,
