Great story as ever but, and it’s a huge but - narration is a nightmare.

Bad enough in the car but with earphones I can feel my teeth vibrating to the sound of absolutely all of the female voices.

The narrator, when not voicing characters is fine and the story would be brilliant at this pitch.

Please change the narrator.

After hearing the Jackman and Evans stories thought I’d try the Nikki Galena books and I have not been disappointed. Good believable storylines, continues the on going relationships within the force and excellent narrator. Can’t believe it’s taken me so long to know the Joy Ellis catalogue, would highly recommend reading the stories in order to follow all the nuances revealed in each book.
