THE STORY

The book that got me into 40K
Love this book, the blackmane series is what got me into warhammer and made me a lifelong wolves fan.
Awesome book, the narrator was a bit off putting at start but grew to enjoy his performance. Looking forward to the next one.

Listened in one go, day well spent.
First chapter of the epic tale of Ragnar Thunderfist, there will be blood and glory, all the good stuff. It's got everything you'd expect from a Space Wolves novel. Probably an instant classic when it was written 20 years ago.
Wife didn't like the accent of the guy narrating. I feel it was more about the fact that the narration bit too much into her day also... or she's a Magnus apologist or a Dark Angels person.
I like my Wolves.

King in the 41st!
Ace book, back to basics as far as the space wolves are concerned. Not so much fluff as other stories but well rounded characters. What I would consider to be a BL classic. Well read and an easy listen.

All time warhammer favorite
I picked this up book one night while I was in the army, and started reading it out of curiosity because somebody had left it there. I took the book home, and I devoured it. I have loved this story ever cents and I am glad that they are finally bringing it to audible. The Scottish voice is a plus

Seamless story
This is my first book diving into the WK40K universe and I gotta say it’s all of what I’d hoped. The story and pacing are perfect. Philip does an amazing job. The characters are likable, maybe the generic theme of being angry is over used but that’s the grim darkness of the future for you. My only real complaint would be the uncertainty of whether the rest of the Space Wolf books will be added in time. I can’t find anything anywhere. If anyone knows anything… :(

A great beginning
The beginning saga of Ragnar Blackmane, what else needs to be said?! I enjoyed hearing about all of the niche intricacies of what aspirants go through to become Astartes. I cannot wait for the next blackmane audiobook to be released!

A must-read for newbies
