Summary

#1 Internationally Bestselling Authors

‘’Want a look into the shadowy world of US special operations? Sons of Valor puts you on the front lines. Nobody does action like Andrews & Wilson!'’—Jack Carr, Navy SEAL sniper and New York Times bestselling author of The Devil’s Hand

A new generation of elite American warriors faces off against an enemy unlike any other.

Sons of valor …

Navy SEAL Keith “Chunk” Redman has been one of the military’s top doorkickers since the day he pinned on his trident: loyal, single-minded, lethal. Tasked to lead a new, covert team of Tier One SEALs—the most elite special operators in the world—Chunk can no longer simply rely on the status quo. To safeguard America, he needs help to stay a step ahead of its adversaries.

Brilliant at spotting patterns in the data that others miss, ex-CIA analyst Whitney Watts sees evidence of a troubling link between illicit Chinese arms sales and an attack on a US military convoy in Afghanistan. If she’s right, it would portend not only massive casualties, but a devastating threat to global stability.

Sons of war …

From the ashes of a never-ending war, a new generation of terrorists has arisen: sophisticated, tech-savvy, and hiding in plain sight among America’s allies. Battered by the Taliban and by the West, they call themselves al Qadr—Power and Destiny—and they’re determined to wrest back control of their homeland. Armed with a powerful combat drone, they can strike with deadly precision at US forces in the region—but their ambitions reach far, far beyond that.

A new legacy …

The new Tier One’s first mission will require them to not only prove themselves, but to stop an enemy who’s using military tactics against them. Chunk and his team aren’t just the tip of the spear; they’re America’s first, last, and best counterterrorism defense. And they couldn’t have arrived at a more urgent—and perilous—time.

Brilliant Story

I thought the story was excellent and the narrator was great, a more believable plot and had good character development for both sides.

Awesome

This is definitely a leader amongst its genre. Based around real world issues it is getting from start to finish. Well researched and written so much better, with credible characters that are both developed and revealed as the story progresses. Combine this with a gripping plot and all the twists which that entails and I found myself both hooked and enthralled from start to finish in this fantastic totally believable well researched story. Can't wait to see how the team deal with their next mission(s)

A great listen. Sons of Valor

Firstly the narrator Ray Porter is brilliant as always. His reading always has the right tone. The jokes where there some are land as intended and when the story becomes serious he delivers perfectly.
The story’s although a little predictable is enjoyable and keeps you engaged as a good action story should.
I like the fact it’s not all kicking in doors. The intelligence aspect to the book drives the narrative along and highlights just how much is relied on those who gather and shift through intel daily. The characters feel a bit 1 dimensional at first but as you spend time with them the authors shape them and you start to see them as more than just gun toting cowboys. They are by the end of the book fully formed and you are with them every step of the way. Even the “enemy” of the book are show as more than just “terrorists”. You are exposed their thought processes, ideologies and what drives them to do what they do. Even the inner conflict they have with themselves while doing it.
I haven’t ever listened or read anything by the authors before, but I will now be looking at their back catalogue with interest.

In a league of its own!

I was engaged from start to finish and I didn’t want it to be over. Everything about this book is perfect for me, a casual listener. The writing and the narration are both masterful and I just have to say thank you to the men and women that ensure our freedom on a daily basis. And I have to say this too
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Disappointing

I was eagerly anticipating the next release in the 21 series was kind of disappointed that they went with another storyline instead of continuing the one they already were with John Dempsey. The previous book left a lot of anticipation and excitement from where the story let off couldn’t wait to find out what happened nextThen they start another storyline about another character was really disappointed. Don’t think this book should be included in the tier 1 series if they want to write books about chunk Redman then they should start another series

Hell yeah!!

Andrew's and Wilson are quickly becoming one of my favorites...I love the new Sons of Valor series at least I hope it's a series... like the Tier One series the story is written so well and smart, highlighting the intelligence that goes into real life events.. chasing threads and breaking it down so the operators can kill the bad guys. it even gets you inside the mind and psyche of the enemy which isn't always so black and white...Chunk and the new tier one operator's take you on a wild ride with a new Intel analyst who isn't a field op but that's where she ends up, in the fight and is totally unprepared for. from standing up a new unit and taking out the bad guys this is a fun and scary ride and you will not be disappointed that you bought this book... Ray Porter is obviously the best in the business and delivers it life it always does...I love this book and these authors

Excellent spinoff from Tier One series

ons of Valor is the first spin-off from the terrific Tier One series. Keith "Chunk" Redman is a Navy SEAL introduced in that series, but you don't have to read it to get all you need to know about Chunk.

The authors take time to set up all the characters - heroes and villains. This is a military ops thriller, firmly on the pro-USA side, but the authors take care to walk through why someone would choose to take terrorist action. They are not one-dimensional crazies here. They are men who have suffered real loss and view themselves as warriors in a fight for their land and their loved ones.

The military and OGA staff (if you don't know what OGA stands for, there is an acronym glossary at the end of the book) use jargon that is not necessarily explained, such as Head Shed and white side SEAL. Most can be picked up from context, but you may have to google a few terms. What that jargon does is drop the reader right in the middle of the action. And there is plenty of action here - a particularly good sequence at a hotel will leave your palms sweating. Because of character setup, the beginning of the book moves a little slower than the rest, though there is action sprinkled in there too. But the rest of the book flies at a furious pace. My only quibble is a couple of instances where the authors lay it on a little too thick regarding the SEALs being heroes. Don't get me wrong - I 100% believe they are heroes. But the book gives plenty of evidence for that. No need to state the obvious.

This is not a family friendly book due to language and violence. But if you enjoy military ops, you're going to love this on
