About this listen
Trapped in the game. Forced back to level 1. What's next, permadeath?
Sky Realms Online is the largest and most popular Virtual Reality MMORPG ever made. Set amongst the mystical, floating islands of Hankarth, it's played and enjoyed by millions every hour.
Until something goes wrong.
Unable to log out, players find themselves reduced to level one, and in the starting zones. They receive a cryptic message from the developers stating that for unknown reasons, they are trapped in the game and may have to live out their lives within the virtual world.
Hall is one of the those trapped in the game. He’s been playing Sky Realms Online as a spear-wielding Skirmisher ever since the beta. And instead of panicking as many do, he decides to make the most of it; to play the game and live his new life, all while quietly hoping the developers will find a fix.
It doesn’t take Hall long to find out that, while some aspects of the game are the same, the difficulty level is beyond anything he's ever experienced.
Together, with a new party of trapped players and NPCs with canned answers, Hall will find out just how different Sky Realms Online has become, and how playing a game is different from living the game....
Experience the start of this unforgettable LitRPG Adventure today! It's perfect for fans of J.A. Hunter, Dakota Krout, and Edward Brody.
Performed by Pavi Proczko, narrator of Eden's Gate and Continue Online.

Pretty Good
With lots of LitRPG out there its hard to make them stand out but this one has some interesting naunces to the story.
I liked how they ended up in Gameplay and as usual the interactions between NPC and Players was good as well.
Narration was a little slow but 1.2 speed helped i found, and the voices were done quite well so it wouldn't put me off further narration from this Narrator Proczko.
Story was pretty consistent and enjoyable so would pick up further in this series as i imagine it would pick up even further.

Solid LitRPG story
This is a nice mix the general LitRPG tropes and a few nice ideas. The interactions between the players and NPCs was quite refreshing. I enjoyed all the characters as they were a nice mix of different believable people having varied motivations. The quests were very in-depth than something you would get in WoW like game and did a nice job of build the story and world.
The narrator gave me mixed feelings by the end of the book. The first half of the book I really loved it as it was so laid back and more of relaxed slice of life story but then later on I started feeling like it was too relaxed in his tone. He used a very monotone voice which if I wasn't focusing on the story during my walk I could suddenly have blanked on what had happened the last ten minutes as nothing really keep my attention in his voice.
The leveling was a bit slower than I usually expect in these kind of books but I think the level cap seems a lot lower so level ups are few and far between. This didn't both me and quite enjoyed it over someone killing a bunch of mobs and level up 5 levels becoming overpowered quickly. The power level felt like they were always underleveled for whatever quest they were doing and gave some nice aspect of danger as we still don't know if you respawn on death.
The last few chapters of the book built up a sequel quite well as I love MCs running villages/ towns and managing resources and keeping town folk happy and making the place prosperous.
Overall I would recommend this book.

part 1 of series, nice litrpg
a glitched game traps players inside and becomes real as life.
fun story and interesting combination of game and real life.
well narrated, clear and professional with good tone differences for characters without overdoing accents.

Interesting premise and likeable main characters
This book starts out with a fairly common premise for the genre, one where a player is forced to live as their character or is unable to logout for some reason or another, but it is done it in an interesting manner with many of the rules of the game world changing in the aftermath of the incident.
In addition to the likeable main character and his party made up of both players and NPCs, this world has a varied and interesting cast of characters and monsters that further help to draw the listener into the world of this book.
The narrator does a good job overall of enhancing this book with a clear and suitably distinctive performance that helps the listener distinguish between the characters.
Overall, this book worked well as a story in it's own right while also setting things up very nicely for subsequent books in the series as well and I will definitely be looking out for the next one when it comes out.

Engaging
I was originally put off by all the stats until I got the hang of ignoring them.
I hung in there as the concept was interesting and the characters good. I LOVED the cow!!

Fantastic world building
I have listened to this book three times now and it is definitely one of my favourite litrpg series. The characters, the world building and their potential for growth are just right. The writing and the pace work really well in getting you invested in the world that the author has created. Pavi Proczko is a perfect match. On to book two, again.

On to book 2
This is the first book I’ve read/listened to by this author. I have the second book as well, and I listened to it without even pausing to review this one! They both were great. This book is the first in the series and I’ll definitely listen to more in this series.
I like how the activities and events are more realistic in the game the players have become stuck in. There are stat updates, but they are not overwhelming. I enjoy all the characters, especially the cow! I like how they all have different motivations and depth to their personalities. There is not a cliffhanger per se, there is some conclusion to this book so far, but the epilogue introduces us to a character that is a big lead to the next book.
This is the second book I’ve listened to by this narrator ( Pavi Proczko ) and I would listen to another. He does well performing this book more than just reading it. He uses Different voices for each character and his female voices are done well.
There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence or swearing.

Sky realms online.
This was a brilliant 1st book in the serise, from the very beginning I was engaged, thrilled and thoroughly entertained.
the whole world building is amazing, such detail.
The mc is really likeable, he's laid back and not full of himself.
the story is very well written, a lot of detail and creativeness.
I'm looking forward to listening to book 2.
